I have really come to appreciate IS as opposed to a wider aperture.plus it is half the price of the 24-70. Of course, there is always this Tamron option which gets great reviews and is even cheaper: Tamron 28-75. To the similar Canon. Wide angle. Of course if I had a bunch of money I would buy this one.
