UseableArt : Information Design. UseableArt : Information Design. Andrew Wallerstein’s Personal Website. Facebook vs. Twitter [infographic]. Personally, I’m getting a bit sick of both of ’em, so a steel cage match between the Twits and FB wouldn’t make me unhappy. Alas, we’re not talking about that kind of a battle royale. This one is of the infographic variety. It’s neat, filled with fun facts, great use of color, and otherwise pretty damn slick. Personally, I think the smart money’s on Facebook😉.

UseableArt : Information Design. UseableArt : Information Design. Andrew Wallerstein’s Personal Website. Wall Maps, Redefined [cartography]. I’m one of those handsome nerds who finds the art in cartography. No really. There is no end to the creativity one might apply to an old, an often tedious, standard. By definition they are works of information design, but does that relegate them to the ugly world of utilitarian info-design? Learn, and enjoy. More on the way. UseableArt : Information Design. UseableArt : Information Design. Andrew Wallerstein’s Personal Website. Guess Who’s Coming to America? Clever. The use of flags, especially in abundance, can be overbearing, jingoistic, even downright corny. Not so here, even the implied American flag structure that forms the bar chart itself. Nice work. And food for thought. This entry was published on March 15, 2012 at 7:15 pm and is filed under 3D. Follow any comments here with the RSS feed for this post.

UseableArt : Information Design. UseableArt : Information Design. Andrew Wallerstein’s Personal Website. OK, I’ll be damned if I can figure out what the hell this guy’s trying to communicate. Technically, that makes it a lousy infographic. But just. At the thing. The palette, the simplicity and cleanliness of the design… Magnificent. In fact, a message, and it was communicted in the text a bit better, this would be among my top ten. As it stands, its fine by me. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
