Things close up: N is for Nothing
http://thingscloseup.blogspot.com/2009/01/n-is-for-nothing.html
My theme for January 2009 is: "Things close up - alphabetical style". For this challnge I have chosen to use my Olympus sp-310. Wednesday, January 14, 2009. N is for Nothing. Some bright spark in my family suggested I photograph nothing for the letter N. I thought that was quite a clever idea and being the creative person I am thought I'd give it ago. I concentrated mainly on DOF, composition and lighting and think I did a pretty good job. January 14, 2009 at 11:20 AM. I like it that you cut in half,.

My theme for January 2009 is: "Things close up - alphabetical style". For this challnge I have chosen to use my Olympus sp-310. Sunday, January 25, 2009. Y is for Yarn. You might need your sunglasses for this one! I would have prefered to shoot something not quite so bright but the truth is, the only wool I could find was this. I tried to make the background whiter but that only made the yellow too glarey. January 25, 2009 at 11:45 AM. January 25, 2009 at 12:21 PM. January 25, 2009 at 2:54 PM. A lovely b...

Theme I never realized how dusty and dirty our Lego was until I tried to take this photo! January 29, 2009 at 11:47 PM. Another nice clean shot and I love how you can see the texture of the paper. I think a bit of a reflector this side of him would have lit his face a little more. Great tribute! Thirty day challenge ...

My theme for January 2009 is: "Things close up - alphabetical style". For this challnge I have chosen to use my Olympus sp-310. Monday, January 26, 2009. Z is for Zip. I really don't have an awful lot to say about this one. There is no history behind it. It's simply a zip I had lying around which I've never used for anything - until now. Icebunny. Maybe next time I should do A-Z animal style. Then I can take up your suggestion and go find a yak. Regoch. That's cheating! January 26, 2009 at 9:55 AM. Wow, ...

A xerophyte is a desert plant so this fits in quite nicely. Had trouble getting really close because the prickles got in the way. And no, I didn't even attempt to get rid of the cob webs! Well RM, were you right? January 24, 2009 at 6:53 PM. January 24, 2009 at 10:20 PM. Very clever match and awesome photo as always! I have one sim...

I have learnt heaps this challenge - but the thing that has had the biggest impact for me is learning to shoot in raw. Today's tribute is to Cridley and her Three of a Kind. And the mystery item from yesterday which wasn't supposed to be a mystery at all - it's the top of my pepper grinder. Wow, awesome shot!

Things close up: Kitchen Abstract
http://thingscloseup.blogspot.com/2009/01/kitchen-abstract.html
My theme for January 2009 is: "Things close up - alphabetical style". For this challnge I have chosen to use my Olympus sp-310. Friday, January 30, 2009. I suppose most of us get these days during the challenge. Whatever we shoot doesn't come out to our liking. It wouldn't be so bad except that today's is supposed to be a tribute to Kookaburra and her Kitchen Abstracts. One more day to go! January 30, 2009 at 5:40 PM. And why do you not feel the second one belongs in your gallery! Now that's a good idea ...
