Ethics Gone Bad. and other Philosophical rantings. Tuesday, March 01, 2005. You know. They outta. Outlaw DVD players in Minivans. I can't help but watch while I'm driving on the highway behind one. By the time I can identify the movie that is playing on the 5" screen, I have to slam on the brakes to avoid a collision. Keep the prices of all burgers at McDonald's at $1.69 every day. Sometimes I feel like a BigMac on Wednesday, or a McChicken on Monday. I think some of you know what I mean. ( Eddie. How ma...

Ethics Gone Bad. and other Philosophical rantings. Saturday, November 13, 2004. Have You Ever Noticed. That each time there is a computer in a movie or on television, each time a word or character appears on screen, it is accompanied by an annoying computerized noise. Each displayed program is also chalked full of graphics, and each picture fades in and out with an equally annoying sound. It's like watching a PowerPoint presesntation on acid! Ethics Gone Bad... and other Philosophical rantings: To infinity...
http://ethicsgonebad.blogspot.com/2005/01/to-infinity.html
Ethics Gone Bad. and other Philosophical rantings. Monday, January 10, 2005. One of the topics that has always fascinated me has got be infinity. Both things that are infinity small (like my desire to achieve), and those that are infinitely large (like my ego). But seriously, let's examine a famous philosophical example of infinite smallness. I give you, Zeno's paradox. Again, taken to the extreme, it proves that motion itself is impossible. Before I can cover any distance, I must cover half of that ...

Ethics Gone Bad... and other Philosophical rantings: Play-doh
http://ethicsgonebad.blogspot.com/2004/11/play-doh.html
Ethics Gone Bad. and other Philosophical rantings. Monday, November 01, 2004. There's nothing that brings back the memory of early education than the aroma of Play-doh. It wasn't necessarily a "good" smell but you couldn't help but hold it to your nose and take a huge whiff! Actually come to think of it, play-doh might be responsible for the majority of the colds and other airborne germs passed around from child to child. Posted by Retroboy at 8:49 PM. November 2, 2004 at 12:10 PM. And the answer is.

Ethics Gone Bad. and other Philosophical rantings. Wednesday, January 19, 2005. Many of the problems and principles of introductory ethics deal with runaway trolleys and fat men. Confused! For those who are unfamiliar with these problems, let me elaborate. Here are two scenarios where a bystander can act or not act in an ethical or unethical manner (you decide):. Ethics Gone Bad. and other Philosophical rantings. Tuesday, November 30, 2004. Same old. Same old. I was conversing with my driving partner (fellow commuter) today about how alternative music used to be just that. Alternative. Now that the "alternative" scene is popular, the alternative is no longer alternative. Like the trends before it, the market is being saturated with so many bands with the same sound and same melodies. Http:/ www.thewebshite.net/nickelback.htm. Posted by Retroboy at 10:06 PM. Those...

Because life is what happens while we're making other plans. Sunday, July 31, 2005. The End of Diplomatic Immunity. One month from now, my old college friend Eric Hougen will be a married man. This joyous occasion marks the end of an era. All my rowdy friends have indeed settled down, and we're all officially adults. His predicament reminded me that I too have forsaken my diplomatic post, and must send wedding and shower gifts right away. Posted by Steve at 3:22 PM. Tuesday, July 26, 2005. Much to the pl...

The musings of an aspiring novelist. Friday, April 29, 2005. Well, as you are aware (and those of you who aren't: shame on you), Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy (the movie) opens today. I have mixed feelings on it. I was really excited when they were filming the movie, but my optimism has been taking a downward spiral the last couple of weeks as reviews have come in. I'm taking M.J. Simpson's review. Here's me crossing my fingers, and hoping for the best. Posted by Trillian @ 8:52 AM. Benjy took it upon...

The musings of an aspiring novelist. Tuesday, November 30, 2004. Grilled Cheese, Anyone? I don’t cook. I’m not saying that I can’t cook, although others have said that. After learning about fire safety at school, Benjy came home and asked us if we test our smoke detectors. Without missing a beat, Frankie declared, Yeah, every time Mom cooks!
