http://emily-uganda.blogspot.com/2007/11/nairobi.html
A place for Emily to record her adventures in Uganda for family and friends. Thursday, November 15, 2007. I'm sorry I've been remiss about blogging lately. Things have been incredibly busy. This is going to be a short posting, but I wanted to at least post a quick update. We also have been blogging about our trip to Kenya (although I haven't posted yet). You can find those blogs at http:/ healthrightsinkenya.phrblog.org. You'll see a photo of me and the team at the top of the page. Posted by Emily B.

Uganda Bound: July 2006
http://emily-uganda.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
A place for Emily to record her adventures in Uganda for family and friends. Wednesday, July 26, 2006. I just returned from Gulu, the government's headquarters for the civil war and one of the areas that has been heavily impacted by the war over the last 20 years. We flew to Gulu due to security concerns, although the roads have been good now for about 6 months so part of our team choose to drive and had no problems. Posted by Emily B. Friday, July 21, 2006. I'm sure this is common in other parts of Afri...

Uganda Bound: Bussin' It to Mbarara
http://emily-uganda.blogspot.com/2007/10/bussin-it-to-mbarara.html
A place for Emily to record her adventures in Uganda for family and friends. Saturday, October 27, 2007. Bussin' It to Mbarara. To continue my tales of public transportation experiences (they are always the best ones, aren’t they? I am pleased to tell you all that I completed by first solo bus trip in. I had to go to Mbarara for work and since I was going by myself I couldn’t really justify the $200 difference in cost between renting a car and taking the bus. So, I decided to try the bus. As is typical in.

Uganda Bound: August 2006
http://emily-uganda.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
A place for Emily to record her adventures in Uganda for family and friends. Wednesday, August 02, 2006. The Long Journey Home. I'm writing this from Amsterdam, as I slowly make my way back to Seattle via Amsterdam, Newark, and a stop-off in Boston for my friend Becca's wedding. But, I digress. Although my travel saga is interesting to me, it's probably not the most exciting thing that has happened to me since I last wrote. Posted by Emily B. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Uganda Bound: June 2006
http://emily-uganda.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
A place for Emily to record her adventures in Uganda for family and friends. Wednesday, June 28, 2006. They say everything happens for a reason. I'm trying to figure out what that reason is as I sit in the Springhill Suites at Newark Airport. I am most definitely not in Africa right now. But, my frequent traveling father helped me out by finding me a reservation at a hotel that had been fully booked since noon (I hate to think who about who didn't get a room because of me, but I was too tired and frustra...

Uganda Bound: August 2007
http://emily-uganda.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
A place for Emily to record her adventures in Uganda for family and friends. Monday, August 27, 2007. I think I have my own apartment. It’s not perfect in that it is unfurnished and a bit further out of town than I had hoped to be, but it’s nice, clean, and peaceful. I have a small balcony that has a nice territorial view of the area, and a second bedroom so visitors are welcome! D the roasted g-nuts until they were smooth like peanut butter (see photo). We had beef with g-nut sauce, beans, and cassa...

Uganda Bound: Hot Zone
http://emily-uganda.blogspot.com/2007/12/hot-zone.html
A place for Emily to record her adventures in Uganda for family and friends. Wednesday, December 12, 2007. Finding time to write these days has become difficult. I’m writing this from. On my way back to the States for Christmas. It’s hard to even know what to write about because the last few weeks have been so incredibly busy and filled with plenty of fodder for endless blog entries. I’ll start with the Ebola outbreak. The country, with good reason, was terrified. Had been preparing for about two years.

Uganda Bound: Away for the Weekend
http://emily-uganda.blogspot.com/2007/10/away-for-weekend.html
A place for Emily to record her adventures in Uganda for family and friends. Sunday, October 14, 2007. Away for the Weekend. Reverberate through the river valley. Ing a man water his crops while a women and two young children work in the garden next to him (looking up every once in a while to watch the strange phenomenon of people who are paying to throw themselves off a platform attached only by a large rubber band). I found this a bit strange, especially because we went to pick up the groom and had to ...
