Andy and Karly's Asia Trip. Sunday, October 29, 2006. We are now in Cambodia. We spent our first day in Phnom Penh, where we visited the Silver Pagoda. This is named after the silver tiles that line the floor (not too impressive now as the tiles are mainly covered with rugs so people don't walk on them). More notable is the Buddha statue that is decorated with lots of diamonds, the largest being 25 carets! Karly will be using this as the benchmark for her proper engagement ring when she finally gets it.

We've been in Beijing just over a week now and we're only just starting to understand how to cross the road. The driving here is terrible. Possibly worse than India. Its a very clean and tidy place as well (though maybe not as clean as Singapore, but far cleaner than India! Our hotel in Singapore was more of a hostel then a hotel. Luckily for us, some nice people had built some concrete bunkers and for some unknown reason these now have various holes in them, making for some nice little bouldering problems. We're far too hardy (or foolish) to let a forecast of snow put us off camping so we set off for Turner Hall Farm Campsite. Got pitched in a relatively sheltered spot after only a minor mishap getting the car stuck in the mud. Matt, the family piano master. Nathan's first temple day. Sorting candy is serious business. Remember the magic of watching a movie from under a homemade fort? Monday, August 10, 2015. After T Ball ended, we singed Brian up for soccer camp. He loved it. His teacher was great and he was really to finally get the concept of dribbling the ball! I loved watching him in action. My parents got Brian a Slip in Slide to use at their home and it has been put to good use! Here Brian is "Shaking his booty" before he goes down the slide. Going down head first! He really is such a daredevil. We put this kid to work shucking the corn for dinner but he just keeps laughing!
