Andy Hayler's Restaurant Reviews - Benelux
http://www.andyhayler.net/files/Benelux_Food_Notes.htm
00 31 10 436 07 66. 00 31 10 436 71 40. Last visited August 2004. Park Heuvel is in a modern building with a partial view of the harbour. Amuse guele consisted of toasted bread with ham, fine strips of pastry with herbs, sticks of cucumber and some assorted nuts (6/10 really for the amuse guele). Bread was either white or brown sourdough, and was very pleasant (7/10). The next amuse guele showed the first signs of real class, a delicate gelee of pike and prawns that had superb texture and flavour (10/10).
Restaurants in the USA

A city with good shellfish and, oddly, baked beans, which are traditional there. The main restaurant of the Four Seasons Hotel. Oddly this is rated the highest in Zagat. And was voted best restaurant in. The evidence for which was lacking on this visit. It is all very pleasant, with a grand hotel dining room with plenty of space and competent service. To start with pan-fried scallops were fresh and well timed (3/10). To be fair, the lunch menu is quite fairly priced. The dining room at the Lenox hotel.
Hotel Reviews and Recommendations

Hotel Reviews and Recommendations. I have been lucky enough to travel widely, and sometimes get asked to recommend good hotels. Here are my experiences of some top hotels around the world. Please note that these are at the top end of the range and that this selection is inevitably a personal selection and cannot, by its nature, be at all comprehensive. During these travels I have stayed at some fine hotels and also had some dismal experiences, even in supposedly luxury hotels. Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Miscellaneous Restaurants

The section has notes on restaurants that you may have heard of but which do not make it into my. This is usually because I am unconvinced that they represent reliably good value for money, though the cooking may in some cases be to a very high standard. Now deceased, but like a zombie has returned to Barnes in the shape of MVH). Gordon Ramsey at Claridges. Menu at the Connaught. Breads are a pleasant enough Italian selection, including onion foccaccia. White and brown slices. By contrast Stella’s macaro...
Restaurant Reviews for Italy
http://www.andyhayler.net/files/Italy_Food_Notes.htm
Has some fine restaurants, though also its fair share of dreadful tourist traps. The cuisine is regional, so generalisations are difficult. I have not explored. As much as I would like, so the notes below are somewhat sketchy. So many restaurants, so little time. Though the gallery you want to see is likely to be closed whenever you visit, and some of the bars and restaurants are surprisingly basic (one had an African style hole in the ground toilet). The one famous restaurant, Enoteca. The only restaura...
