http://lifeonthenatureisle.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
To Wherever And Back. Sunday, June 6, 2010. Roots vs. wings. On the same topic as my previous post, I was watching Sweet Home Alabama on tv the other night and one quote in that movie stuck out and bothered me. "You can't have roots and wings." I immediately responded "yes, you can" (do ya'll respond to the tv? Our friends, Kyle and Andrea, just got back from graduation in NYC. I almost teared up when I got the text from Andrea that said "it's official - kyle's a doctor! Since the majority of our familie...

To Wherever And Back: He did it!! We did it!!
http://lifeonthenatureisle.blogspot.com/2011/03/he-did-it-we-did-it.html
To Wherever And Back. Friday, March 25, 2011. Today is Friday, March 25, 2011. Today is the day Ryan completed medical school. I feel like everything we have done the last 4 years has been to get to this point. Talk about a long road – that led us from Nashville to Miami, then Dominica, then back to Miami, then to New York City, then to Atlanta, and, finally, back to Nashville! So, as most of you know, we are moving back to Nashville next week! I know you both feel such a sense of accomplishment! Ohio fa...

Finding the Fishers: June 2010
http://findingthefishers.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
In Atlanta, Georgia. Monday, June 28, 2010. We are now in Georgia! In May we rented the biggest Penske we could and with the help of lots of family, we loaded up our apartment and storage unit, said "Goodbye" and took off for Georgia. It took 4 full days of driving, and we stopped far more often than Daddy would have preferred. There was always someone who needed something at the next rest stop! Thank goodness my brother-in-law was willing to come along as a 3rd driver/tremendous help for moving guru.

Finding the Fishers: September 2008
http://findingthefishers.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
In Atlanta, Georgia. Wednesday, September 17, 2008. The BIG Birthday Party. Sometimes kids say interesting things. Sometimes parents believe them, but most of the time we brush it off. While I was trying to teach my four-year-old how to swim a couple of months ago she told me "I will swim when I am five years old! Yeah Right. My children? What was I thinking? So, after arriving home, we packed back up, applied more sunscreen, and headed to the swimming pool. You just swam to me! And yet, here she is,.

In Atlanta, Georgia. Sunday, July 11, 2010. The Water Birthday Party. C" begged and begged me to hold a birthday party at our house that involved water. so we started planning and issued some invitations. At first only 2 families RSVP'd so I kept inviting more until we ended up with 25 kids in attendance, not counting the babies! We also played "squash the sharks" with balloons that were painted with jaws and eyes. The only rule? Stay in the wading pool to pop yours! The cake was an absolute nightmare, a...
