jarradwrites: May 2010
http://jarradwrites.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
A mad flurry of bike washing, house packing, farewells and flights and i'm back in Canberra, sitting on the family sofa watching Rosellas wash in the fishpond. Time to reflect on the Red Centre Enduro. The first stage got away after a parade behind a police car through the streets of Alice. I fulfilled a dream by giving high-5s to the school kids that lined the streets to cheer us off. Awesome way to start! D1/S2 - 0.3km ITT. Up at 4:30am to catch the school bus out to Trephina Gorge. Our dopey drive...

jarradwrites: December 2009
http://jarradwrites.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Last minute bash in the Alice. Ah christmas. riding, eating, sifting. The day of the year really. 7:30 was a nice casual start time for a ride with Po, Suze, Clarke and Julia. What started out as a completely overcast sky, soon cleared to a clear blue one but the cool breeze held firm to give us some great riding conditions. Out on the fence track, up along the helmet track, and return via roo track and 5-ways. a nice way to spend 2.5hours. Po, Suze and Julia on the Helmet Track. 3 days to Buffalo. Logis...

jarradwrites: First Look: Revelate Bags
http://jarradwrites.blogspot.com/2012/04/first-look-revelate-bags.html
First Look: Revelate Bags. At Mikey's request I thought I'd pen a few first impressions of my Revelate bags and gear list from my first trip (which, bare in mind wasn't really my first run - that's coming up in afew weeks - it was more of a pre-first run). I bought 2 bags from Revelate Designs. The Pika is Revelate's smaller seat bag, with a stated capacity of 6-12L. It attaches to the seat rails with a thick PVC(? Daily consumables (lunch/dinner and water bladder), rain jacket. View my complete profile.

jarradwrites: Brindies Circ: Day 2
http://jarradwrites.blogspot.com/2012/11/brindies-circ-day-2.html
Brindies Circ: Day 2. Day 2: 135km /? Mt Bimberi didn't want to get out of bed in the morning. After a mild night the day dawned with a low cover of cloud, and after breakfasting and packing up we were off along Lone Pine FT by 7am. The condition of this trail wasn't the best, and I think we were all fearing a similar slog to yesterday, so it was heads down while we ticked off the next 10 or so kms. The end of the descent down Lone Pine FT in to the valley. Turning on to Yaouk Rd. View my complete profile.

Skiing in Switzerland | Ant & Lex's Travel Blog
https://antlex.wordpress.com/2010/03/19/skiing-in-switzerland
Ant and Lex's Travel Blog. March 19, 2010. Skiing in Switzerland was pretty epic. In amongst the towering peaks we scored everything from fresh powder to perfect sunshine. With my mathematical mind, I apologise in advance for mentioning so many statistics but I guess that stats like a 22km long cross-border international ski run with 2400m vertical deserve a mention…. The Limmat River in Zurich. Very sad lion of Lucerne. Moonlit shot of the Eiger at midnight - taken from our balcony. With perfect blue sk...

Ant and Lex's Travel Blog. March 8, 2010. Snow and Sunshine in the Tyrolean Alps. We really enjoyed our time in Vienna and Graz 3 months ago, so it was great to arrive back in Austria. But this time I was even more excited because Austria in the middle of winter means only one thing skiing! Salzburg - looking towards the fortress. Walking along the river. Salzburg - the view from the fortress. The Wilder Kaiser Mountains. We were really lucky with the weather as we had 4 out of 5 skiing days with cloudle...

Plodding along through Portugal | Ant & Lex's Travel Blog
https://antlex.wordpress.com/2010/02/09/plodding-along-through-portugal
Ant and Lex's Travel Blog. February 9, 2010. Plodding along through Portugal. With crazy weather throughout Europe, it rained nearly every day we were in Portugal. We were just glad it was still mild and far more pleasant than than the UK which was having it’s worst winter in about 30 years. The news was filled with stories of traffic chaos and temperatures hitting -20 and below at many of the European cities we had previously visited. Winter has definitely arrived. Lex driving: Not scared at all! It was...
