http://andyswildadventureblog.weebly.com/blog/saturday-12th-march-2013-trip-out-to-the-derbyshire-peaks

Blogging my outdoor adventures. Andy's Wild Adventure Blog. Saturday 12th March 2016 - trip out to the Derbyshire Peaks. So a decent break in the weather had coincided with a well earned day off from work and also incidently without my knowledge one of the areas biggest days in the outdoor Calendar, so I had decided to head out to the Derbyshire Peak District to spend some time outdoors and improve my fitness due to being cooped up indoors at work over the past few weeks. After maintaining a brisk pace i...

Blogging my outdoor adventures. Andy's Wild Adventure Blog. Stock Ghyll Force - Ambleside. During a recent stay in Ambleside, the Lake District, I had been chatting to another guest while enjoying a 12 year old single malt in the hotel bar and I was asked if I had taken the short walk up the river behind the hotel to the waterfalls. Of course, naturally my curiosity had a few more questions to secure enough information to enable me to find this place. Three into one does go. Apparently. After messing aro...

Blogging my outdoor adventures. Andy's Wild Adventure Blog. Dovedale, Peak District - Afternoon stroll along the River Dove. So I've got my first free afternoon in weeks having finished work early and for once having no chores or prior commitments to hold me back I decide to head out and stretch my legs. So that begs for the next question, where should I go? So at around 15:50 I left the car park at Dovedale and headed off in the direction of the famous stepping stones. 8203;As it had been raining all da...

Blogging my outdoor adventures. Andy's Wild Adventure Blog. 27th July 2014 - Short evening stroll along Curbar Edge, Peak District, Derbyshire. I thought I'd post a quick update to the page as I've not had much time to post anything for a while. I managed a gentle evening stroll along Curbar Edge last night. I had hoped to photograph some fabulous sunset shots, but alas the setting sun failed to deliver. My camera work doesn't do it justice). Old Derbyshire Millstone, many are strewn along this route.

Lee's Outdoor Blog: January 2016

http://leesoutdoorblog.blogspot.com/2016_01_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 19 January 2016. Lake District Wild Camp 14/1/16. December had been a frustrating month; plans of numerous icy and clear-skied wildcamps had been left shredded by the numerous storms which had battered the UK. Fast forward to the third week in January and things were looking up, a cold snap had hit the North and winds had eased greatly. After finding a space to park I set off along the narrow road towards Hallin Fell. Snow graced the tops of the bigger Fells and it was pleasantly fresh out'.

Wednesday, 12 August 2015. Lake District Wild Camp 7-8/6/15. Route: Wasdale Head-Yewbarrow-Red Pike (Wasdale)-Scoat Fell-Steeple-Haycock-Wasdale Head. The last couple of months had flown by and I was keen to get back to my favourite wildcamping destination. After a fair amount of planning I'd decided on a week in the Lakes which would involve two wildcamps, separated by a bed and breakfast stop (Lingmell House) in between to freshen up. Bell Rib on Yewbarrow. Middle Fell, Seatallan and Dropping Crag.

Saturday, 30 April 2016. Lake District Wild Camp (pictures only) 27-28/4/16. Another great trip in the books and despite some extremely varied conditions; one I couldn't blog about (yet again). Due to some communication problems I spent a lot of time waiting for a friend, which doesn't make for great material. Enjoy the photographs and I'll be back with another blog soon enough ;). An approaching hail storm. Place Fell summit and trig point. Milky Way over Place Fell summit. Brothers Water and beyond.

http://leesoutdoorblog.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html

Monday, 26 May 2014. Lake District Wild Camp 23-24/5/14. The plan was to crack seven Wainrights in a day, in order of ascent they consisted of: Loft Crag, Pike of Stickle, Harrison Stickle, Thunacar Knott, High Raise, Sergeant Man and finally Pavey Ark. I didn't really have a plan for the second day aside from checking out Easedale and Codale Tarns. The weather forecast looked pretty grim at best! I was tested with steep sided gullies, thin ledges and loose rock. As I neared the top, the rocky gullies ch...

Sunday, 14 December 2014. North York Moors 'Mini' Wild Camp 12/12/14. I decided not to blog about this trip as it was just a case of trekking out into the middle of nowhere and taking a few night sky shots, had I covered more distance or been out there for a couple of nights I definitely would have added more. Enjoy the shots :). Looking down over Kay Nest. Wild Country Sololite under the stars. The morning after a bitterly cold night. All packed up and ready to depart. Tuesday, 9 December 2014. http://leesoutdoorblog.blogspot.com/2016_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, 13 November 2016. A collection of my favourite images from 2016. A frosty camp in the White Peak. Chrome Hill on an unforgettable morning. Chrome Hill and Parkhouse Hill from a nearby Peak. A cheeky camp about 5 minutes walk from our cars! Lovely autumnal light on Grindslow Knoll. A friend doing his thing on Bleaklow. A frosty start near Carnedd Gwenllian. A stunning sunrise from camp. Bitter conditions near the summit of Carnedd Llewelyn. A camp on Cadair Idris. A pleasant camp on Yoke. I have a...

http://leesoutdoorblog.blogspot.com/2016_12_01_archive.html

Sunday, 4 December 2016. Lake District Wild Camp 25-26/11/16. Work had denied my last three attempts at heading up to the Lakes. Finally fourth time lucky my wish had been granted. I'd been keeping tabs on the ever improving forecast and this added to my excitement. Battling the usual M6 traffic chaos I parked up in a frosty Langdale at 10pm, noting a -4 temperature readout on the dashboard. As I hit the snow line I decided this would make a nice spot to camp, I found a fairly even patch of ground and tr...

Lee's Outdoor Blog: October 2015

http://leesoutdoorblog.blogspot.com/2015_10_01_archive.html

Saturday, 24 October 2015. Lake District Wild Camp 2/10/15. I parked up at Mungrisdale just before 2pm and set off towards pastures new. This was my first visit to the northern Fells and I'd packed enough supplies for a comfortable two nights; I say comfortable as I'd brought the Force 10 Ion 2 with me. I chose a slightly more direct route up Souther Fell which meant battling a tough incline and despite being October it was like a summers day! Once out of the valley I was greeted by warm evening sunshine...

Lee's Outdoor Blog: July 2014

http://leesoutdoorblog.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

Monday, 28 July 2014. Lake District Wild Camp 23-24/7/14. I arrived a little later than planned at just after 1pm and after failing to find a free parking space I parted with some money and parked at Side Farm. After a short stroll I was soon making my ascent of St Sunday Crag via Thornhow End, with no breeze it was absolutely sweltering up the steep slope and progress was slow. Ullswater from Thornhow End. The final stretch seemed to take ages with Fairfield and Grisedale Tarn slowly looming into view.
