An English Garden In Vermont

An English Garden In Vermont. There is something about spring, isn’t there? Malus ‘Snowdrift’. This robin is color-coordinated with the tool caddy. Shapes, textures and colours. Daffodils, tulips and magnolias are blooming, all sorts of plants are rising up out of the ground, lawns are greening up, trees are bursting out, birds are singing and nesting, ducks are dabbling. Lots of these little Scilla. I had to repost this. What ecstasy! Dwarf Iris and Chionodoxa blooming now, despite the very cold weather.

An English Gentleman

Old World romance tutelage for the modern urban suitor. July 10th, 2013. Dear English Gentleman,. At the moment I just continue to ignore him and not speak to him but it seems to only make him try harder. Is he trying to get a response from me? Does he want my attention? He broke up with me though. Playing games, trying to get a reaction from the other person, strategising about what to do in order to provoke the other person into acting a certain way, well, that seems like control to me, not love. Obvio...

An English Girl in New Delhi

An English Girl in New Delhi. A collection of random musings inspired by my time as a student of Hindi at Delhi University. I do have some slight luddite tendencies and may have been a little anti-blog in my time, but have been convinced that writing about my experience in Delhi would be a Good Thing. It is true that I haven't had the chance to craft much imaginative writing in the post-University void so I'm hoping that I can still remember how! Tuesday, September 13, 2011. There’s no grammar? The pages...

An English Girl in North Carolina

An English Girl in North Carolina. Back in January, a few of us from King's swapped the Land of Hope and Glory for the Land of the Free, leaving familiarity behind for the next half a year. As I exchanged hot tea for southern sweet tea, this blog is me writing about my experiences with college, the nation, and those people they call 'Americans'. Wednesday, 27 July 2011. So it's been a little while now since I came home. A month and a half, to be precise. But especially on returning to London I met a good...

Registering as a zombie extra in the next Brad Pitt film complete, I decided to find some income to see me through until my big break. So I moved on from my role as Official Spoon Licker at. So as you can imagine the PED (Post-Erasmus Depression remember? Friday, 15 July 2011. Reason #17 it's good to be home: A whole Tesco value vanilla cheesecake for £1. Reason #17 its good to ...

An English Girl Rambles

Monday, May 18, 2015. Monday Food Post - What's left in the Fridge Salad. This will be my last Monday Food Post for a while. We're heading into a particularly busy time from now until the end of July, so I won't be cooking interesting recipes. I will be grabbing whatever I have in the fridge. I used up whatever I had in the fridge. About 3 ounces of Roast Chicken, cut into small pieces. 1 thinly slice of lacey Swiss Cheese, torn into small pieces. 1 medium tomato, chopped into small chunks. Our new link ...
