Sunday, April 10, 2011. I didn't eat meat. This lesson deals with past and present verb tenses. We have already studied the present and future tense for positive and negative verbs. As a refresher:. I will go to the party. I won't go to the party. I don't drink cola. I don't eat meat. Is an exception to this because the negaive of desu is dewa arimasen. To change from present positive to past positive, take off the masu. Ending and replace it with mashita. Ending and add deshita. Kouen ni ikimasen deshita.
