Wednesday, August 16, 2006. The Death of Chick Lit? So there's been some complaints lately that Chick Lit is dead. I don't think so. I certainly agree that now might not be the time for an unpublished author to promote a manuscript as Chick Lit. But then what's in a name? If you are not willing to edit your thinking along with your work, you may not deserve to be published. Now I know that will piss off a lot of people. But think about it. Isn't it really a word choice? Isn't it really about the writing?
