Prairie Oboe Companion: Get your composer straight.
http://jilloboe.blogspot.com/2011/07/get-your-composer-straight.html
Saturday, July 02, 2011. Get your composer straight. More from the world of "no book editor that knows anything about music":. From Chloe Neill's "Some Girls Bite". To be thankful for the things that reminded me that I was a small clog in a very big wheel: the lake on a moodily cloudy day; the gracious divinity of Elgar's "The Lark Ascending". Well, those Brits, theyre all the same. Right? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. It's All About Me. Team Camwell (our family blog).

Tuesday, April 12, 2011. Sent to me by a flutist. Who swears an oboist sent it to her. Very nice, thanks. While Id leave a hairline space for middle ground, I dont think this is entirely too far from the truth. sadly. As a composer who loves the sound of the oboe, i must respectfully disagree :). Prairie Oboe Companion: Back on the wagon
http://jilloboe.blogspot.com/2010/09/back-on-wagon.html
Friday, September 10, 2010. Back on the wagon. In the past week, I've practiced three, count 'em, three times. To me, this is a huge accomplishment. In college, I really wouldn't be bragging about three times.I may even have been reprimanded in my lesson! Rehearsals for Orchestra Iowa start up again on Monday, and tonight, after three sessions back on English horn, I finally left not feeling like my face was going to fall off. Now, can I make it through the Planets? Two more days to get my chops up.
