Here is the best explanation I can give of what it means to be a foster parent. 1 Foster Parenting is, well, parenting. 2 Foster kids are, well, kids. 3 Foster parenting means being the loudest, and sometimes the only cheerleader for a child. 4 This life is hard, and some people just can't handle it. Sunday, May 18, 2014. Last night Zadie had her big dance recital and it was adorable. This is, of course, my completely unbiased opinion. I think for a 5 year old in a group of seven year olds, she was fantastic. Her brother thought so, too. He is also a completely fair and impartial judge.
