A new day A new experience. Wednesday, December 31, 2008. Here it is, the end of another year. They are flying by fast. The older you get the faster they go. With things the way they are I certainly hope next year is better than this year was. However, I am probably better off than a lot of people are. I don't have a job but my income has not been cut yet. I hope that things get better for all of the poor people who have no jobs or are losing their homes. A new day A new experience. Friday, October 31, 2008. October 31, 1927. Ollie and Elbert Caffee 1927. My Mother and Dad were married on Halloween night, October 31, 1925. The picture above was not made at that time but about a year later. They didn't have a wedding picture. I don't know why they picked Halloween night to get married but I am glad they got married! A new day A new experience. Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Once when I was a kid, just in the first or second grade, I went to Jane Council's home to play for a while after school. She lived very near the school. Her mother made us a snack to eat. It was such a common thing that I can't believe I never had it before. She just spread butter on plain old saltine crackers! Once in a while make myself some crackers with butter- actually, margarine. Sometimes the simplest things are the best! Brown Eggs with a Kick!
