I have taken on the challenge of not only participating in the race but also fundraising for the Scott Rigsby Foundation. I would not being doing triathlon's if it weren't for Kathy (yes she knows it's all her fault) so it's only fitting that my first big race is a fundraiser for others just like her. Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Swimming into the abyss. An immeasurably deep chasm, depth, or void. I imagine this is how I would describe any body of open water if I had no frame of reference, couldn't see or touch the ground. The other thing it makes me think of is as a young girl, looking off the edge of the high dive board at the pool for the first time and picking up the nerve to actually jump (I still don't like the high dive). Sunday, December 30, 2012. While I am looking forward to everything that will happen in 2013 I am sad to see 2012 end. I tried to do monthly goals for 2012 and while I didn't do everything I completed most of my goals. January: Get the house unpacked and settled (still putting up pictures and slowly doing some DIY projects). February: Run the Rock and Roll half marathon (Done). March: Love my wedding and new marriage (DONE! May: Try boxing (didn't do this but started running and doing boot camp more).
