Hope is on the Horizon…. Taegan McFarland, on Ventilator at 3 Days Old. Her Name is Taegan Sage. She was born 2 months early, and she has bravely faced many health challenges over the eight years of her life. She’s come a very long way, and is now in a special needs classroom and learning how to read. Taegan loves to sound out words! Taegan’s Dad, Shawn, works two jobs just to try to make ends meet. Hope is on the Horizon…. A few months ago an MRI detected a mass on Taegan’s spine. On September 6, 2012 she had a Laminectomy of L2 for tethered cord release at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. There have been some unexpected complications from the operation. Taegan has lost the ability to sit, stand and walk independently. The surgeon has no explanation for why this occurred. Taegan was transferred to the rehab unit at Riley on Thursday, September 13. Please send positive, healing energy.

There have been dinners, motorcycle rallies, and golf outings. Often at these events there are raffles and door prizes, sometimes silent auctions, but always there are good people working together, doing what they can to help one little girl!
