A blog about everything and nothing! Monday, January 31, 2005. What would the world be like without laziness. What are your thoughts? Posted by Aye Kay at 1:23 AM. Windows an...

Friday, April 29, 2005. There is a tension between our common desire that the law be uniform and certain and our wish that it somehow meet the needs of justice in the individual case. There are conflicting roles of judges, the decision-making elite in a democratic society. Should judges conform to popular sentiment? Should judges somehow watch for the welfare of those who come before them? Should they assist the ignorant, or just apply disinterestedly the machinery of the law? Posted by sushil at 4:28 pm.

Australia were hands-down favourites to beat India in the finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003, but everyone expected a fight - and a good one at that. What happened was this. It was anything but a contest. Australia win the Women's World Cup. also. History repeats itself. And have placed Australian cricket at the pinacle of the game, in every version of the game! A blog about everything and nothing! Sunday, July 31, 2005. 2002 saw him releasing Company and Road. 2 good, short, entertaining movies where some superb acting (Vivek Oberoi in Company, Manoj Bajpai in Road) and haunting music ( ganda hai par dandha hai. In Company, road ke har mod pe. From Road) really stood out. Then came Darna Mana Hai, Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon, Ab Tak Chappan, Vaastu Shastra, and D. Hardly entertaining, mostly irritating. But with Sarkar, Ram Gopal Verma. Monday, July 25...

Monday, September 19, 2005. The emotional investment that goes with MBA applications is huge. Some of essays make you come out with your most innermost feelings and passion that I can see how devastating a ding from any school can be. GMAT scores are valid for 5 years and I am being asked to wait out another year if I don't get in this time around. Here's an interesting POA suggested by one of my seniors -. 1 Apply to 4 schools this year. 2 If no success, apply to a new set of 4 schools next year. So, sh...

Thursday, May 26, 2005. Yours truly is planning to apply for graduate studies in financial engineering (fall '06 admission). Been looking at tons of websites of graduate programs/schools. The outcome of the exercise was simply this: My credentials are simply not enough to get me an admit in any of the places that I want to go. Some of universities have gone so far as to state that people of my qualification can't even apply. Case in point: UC Berkeley(Yeah, I dream BIG! I wanted to piggyback on graduate ...

No kidding! Still 'Sentence Correction' is killing me! And I'm not entirely confident about acing the quant section either [so much for a M.Sc in statistics! Sunday, July 17, 2005.
