Day to day ramblings and crafting of a bad housewife. Sunday, 12 April 2015. I've got chicks, they're multiplying. When one of my children's teachers mentioned a fundraiser held at his old school, selling knitted chicks stuffed with cadbury's creme eggs. I was full of enthusiasm. I'm a great jumper on bandwagons, especially if they are knitted bandwagons. One quick pattern search later (oh Ravelry. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways), and I had found Chloe Blunn's free pattern. And next year, it l...

angharad: Tiny paper pieces

http://angharadhandmade.blogspot.com/2014/11/tiny-paper-pieces.html

Day to day ramblings and crafting of a bad housewife. Wednesday, 5 November 2014. I was in need of a nice evening sewing project for all those blanket-on-knees evenings now that it's getting a bit more Autumnal, so this ferris wheel mini quilt tutorial from Sew Scatterbrained. I've always fancied making a mini quilt, and goodness knows the study-o. Could do with a bit of brightening up! The best thing about this project for me is that it has been an opportunity to rummage through my scraps bin and actual...

http://angharadhandmade.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Day to day ramblings and crafting of a bad housewife. Monday, 19 January 2015. First finish of 2015. In the name of having a thrifty January after the excesses of the festive period, I'm trying to rein in my natural inclination to start on new projects and finish off some of the old abandoned works-in-progress instead. First up, a pair of mittens which my Ravelry notebook. Incontrovertibly states I cast on back in November 2012. Ella, of BomBella Designs,. Yarn in Regency blue to knit them up. We saw in ...

angharad: Happy New Year!

http://angharadhandmade.blogspot.com/2015/01/happy-new-year.html

Day to day ramblings and crafting of a bad housewife. Monday, 12 January 2015. It really seems as if 2014 has gone by in a flash. It was a particularly busy time for us, with the book-writing. As a last hurrah before the start of the new school term, we set off to Brean Down. We saw in the new year in Dorset with my husband's family, and happened upon the annual spectacle of the Lyme lunge. Persuade the rest of the family to join me. Posted by angharad handmade. 12 January 2015 at 22:29. Happy New Year xx.

Day to day ramblings and crafting of a bad housewife. Thursday, 12 March 2015. Here at Definitely 100% Historically Accurate Costumes R Us. The fancy dress box was duly raided for one Native American-style tunic, a golden cloak made for an erstwhile Wise Man, and a Disney princess frock (sorry, world. Day, but life is too short to speed-sew a new non-Disney dress at the eleventh hour, but I did trim off the sleeping beauty cameo). Tiger Lily carried a bow and quiver of arrows purchased from the castle gi...

angharad: 30 Totes and Bags to Sew - my new book!

http://angharadhandmade.blogspot.com/2014/11/30-totes-and-bags-to-sew-my-new-book.html

Day to day ramblings and crafting of a bad housewife. Monday, 24 November 2014. 30 Totes and Bags to Sew - my new book! Well finally, and undeniably, it seems I have written a book! It started to feel a bit more real when I took delivery of my author samples, then came the extra copies I had ordered to sell in my shop. I didn't realise when my husband was taking this photo that I had positioned myself right next to Gyles Brandreth. In his novelty jumper. A few snaps of the projects from the book. You can...

Mossery: Autumn Exploring to Penallt Old Church

http://mossery.blogspot.com/2014/10/autumn-exploring-to-penallt-old-church.html

Monday, October 20, 2014. Autumn Exploring to Penallt Old Church. We went on an autumnal walk from Redbrook to the tiny Penallt Old Church. A 13th Century Grade 1 listed building that turned out to be much more interesting that I first thought. We walked in and someone had made these wonderful harvest festival displays of colourful fruit and flowers on every window ledge. Rainbows of apples, pears, berries, chinese lanterns, courgettes, sheaves of wheat, gourds and pots of the last autumn flowers. I'm El...

And what they like, and sports have a positive role in boosting self respect and confidence that can impact academic achievement as well, so it’s not a case of sacrificing one thing for another. http://outcastartists.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

Friday, 23 October 2009. It's been a busy Autumn so far for us at Outcasts HQ and our knitting-in-public appearances at IKnit Weekender in London, and LMEYD in Reading, presented the perfect opportunity to finally knit an 'Outcasts! Banner - after all, there's nothing like a deadline or two! And a very effective banner. The real gain for us though was the sheer fun of creating something together. A free pattern and blank chart for your own personal use is available to download here. Where you can find us.
