Ang's Blah Blah Bloggity Blog. Saturday, October 15, 2011. John's mom passed away at the beginning of September. It was rough on all of us, the kids were absolutely crushed and sobbed for days. A week after the funeral, we decided we needed to get away, and took a planned-at-the-very-last-minute trip to Monterey Bay. It turned out to be exactly what we needed. We spent our first day hanging out in San Francisco. Can you see Matthew's face? Alcatraz in the background. The Monterey Bay aquarium is amazing!

Part of the hill seems to catch fire almost every summer, and is quickly put out, no big deal. We assumed this would be the case when we were welcomed home from church on a Sunday afternoon by this lovely smoke. Unfortunately, it was a very windy day. February 21, 2015. Deven got us tickets to the Shaun White Air and Style in LA. It was cool to see the Rose Bowl, and the kids were so patient as we walked around and around the outside gates trying to find the booth where our tickets were left. Damen, Kasen, Remy and me - you can see the huge ramp in the background.
