Trivial Pursuit: Trailer Trash.
http://morphess.blogspot.com/2005/03/trailer-trash.html
Friday, March 11, 2005. All in all it’s been a good week. Didn’t start off too well when both the drawer dish washers broke down and then whilst Ellie, my lodger, and I were out weeding the driveway (I know! Shaping up nicely huh? Anyway I sprinted after Mullet Man, then sprinted back to retrieve ‘phone from driveway to find it in bits. Oh! Thought I heard something! On arrival in Little Hicksville the lovely boys tell me that it’s well dodgy to drive with all this stuff on the roof and insist on lending...
Trivial Pursuit: To sleep, perchance to bellow.
http://morphess.blogspot.com/2005/03/to-sleep-perchance-to-bellow.html
Thursday, March 17, 2005. To sleep, perchance to bellow. Him: You were shouting in your sleep last night. Sorry What was I saying? Him: You were yelling 'KILL! Me (appalled): Oh how awful! Did you give me a hug? I listened to see if my name was mentioned then when I realised I was in the clear I went back to sleep. Posted by Morphess @ 9:46 am. http://bloohoo5.blogspot.com/2005/07/first-comes-shock.html
Thursday, July 07, 2005. First comes the shock. The following essay was written by. It is his reaction to today's. Smoke Dissolves Into Cloud. Many things are memorable; smell, sight, a touch, a feeling, something you can't quite place. something that fits within a vacuum, something that falls between the cracks and you're only aware of its impact by the void that it leaves. Silence can deafen more than any explosion, than any scream, shout and plea. London was silent this morning. Why are you crying?
Trivial Pursuit: How I Live Now.
http://morphess.blogspot.com/2005/04/how-i-live-now.html
Monday, April 04, 2005. How I Live Now. Do you ever finish a book and feel so profoundly moved that the earth seems to stop moving too? The rush of quiet to your ears - so loud it roars - the feeling that the world has stilled itself so it can appreciate the magnitude of your emotions, because it knows that, during your reading, you have been saying YESYESYES I know what you are saying. I wish we had that level of communication when I was her age. I leave you with Simple Plan:. I’m just a kid. I guess yo...
Trivial Pursuit: The Race Is On.
http://morphess.blogspot.com/2005/03/race-is-on.html
Monday, March 21, 2005. The Race Is On. Being white and middle class and English and nominally C of E, I haven't had to deal with too much racism, although I've had my fair share of inverted snobbery. My biggest disappointment on moving here was the unbridled racism; I was deeply shocked for the first year or so and used to remark that it seemed impossible to say the word Maori without bloody in front of it. All the racism I have encountered here has come from Pakeha. HAPPY RACE RELATIONS DAY! Well writt...
Trivial Pursuit: Don't Marry Me.
http://morphess.blogspot.com/2005/03/dont-marry-me.html
Thursday, March 31, 2005. One of the cats or at least I hope it was a cat has puked on The Old Man’s winter jacket. I DID notice it today but then circumstances, probably goats or some such, intervened. Anyhow he strolled in here this evening with his customary greeting: ‘What Ho Family! He actually does say that, it’s one of the reasons I married him), then he noticed the puke. BLOODY HELL. I MEAN BLOODY, BLOODY. He could have a point though. Posted by Morphess @ 9:22 pm. I'm the only one in my family w...
Trivial Pursuit: It was my birthday.
http://morphess.blogspot.com/2005/03/it-was-my-birthday.html
Saturday, March 26, 2005. It was my birthday. I had a farm in Africa.actually I did, or rather my Dad did, and that is where many, many years ago he hoisted a pair of pink knickers on the flagpole so that the neighbours could see my mother had just given birth to a daughter. ‘Phones weren’t invented then. I wanted to play Mozart Flute Concertos but I couldn't find the tape, I gave up looking and the sky played it to me. Posted by Morphess @ 11:33 pm. This is possibly the best description of a sunset I've...
Trivial Pursuit: Getting my Goat.
http://morphess.blogspot.com/2005/03/getting-my-goat.html
Wednesday, March 30, 2005. It’s not going well so far today. In fact it’s been a busy few days. Stayed up last night until the small hours talking to my oldest friend who lives in Spain. Something about this midnight chatting always induces me to drink my body weight in Pinot Gris - luckily the more I drink the funnier I get! Offer this woman advice? Oh well, must go, I have visitors. Posted by Morphess @ 11:33 am. Ha ha ha ha - I lurve those late night calls to the other hemisphere! Now, I know I've mis...

Monday, July 18, 2005. Civil ceremony doesn't threaten church. Special to The Spokesman-Review. July 3, 2005. A little over a year ago, I had the opportunity to participate in an experience that could represent the future for gay and lesbian couples in Washington, and no great crisis ensued. That is fine. That is beside the point. The church is not the state. This issue is about civil marriage, about whether the state will grant the rights and benefits of marriage to everyone. It is about...Many things a...

Thoughts and Prose of An Innocent Bystander
Thoughts and Prose of An Innocent Bystander. Searching for that elusive means to existance. An Innocent Bystander to history, to disappointment, to self-doubt, to forlorn love and to dreams never reprised. An Innocent Bystander struggles to find contentment, compassion and understanding within his disjointed actions. The doubt and increased intensity of limerence undermine your former satisfaction with yourself and so the journey of An Innocent Bystander continues.

An Innocent Disaster
A work in progress - creative writing at its most liberal. Monday, 5 December 2011. An Innocent Disaster - Chapter 21. Sally picked up the ringing phone. Hello Megabucks Financial Software Solutions, Sally speaking, how can I help you? It's Matt. Matt Deacon? Came the voice at the other end. Sally held the phone away from her ear, a combination of poor volume control and slight disgust that this person had somehow tracked her down at work and, more to the point, called her up. I mean, where? Sally looked...
