Jacina's Journey: PowerPoint - A time for me to reflect on my personal growth and development with this tool
http://jacinajourney.blogspot.com/2010/05/powerpoint-time-for-me-to-reflect-on-my.html
Monday, May 10, 2010. PowerPoint - A time for me to reflect on my personal growth and development with this tool. I found the video in week 6 quite amusing. I felt like the script was written about me - well, at least the way I used to be. When I reflect on the video again, initially. I think it's important to find a balance between words and animations that keeps the audience engaged and focused on the given topic. I think it's also important to remember that we need to keep revisiting old presentat...

Jacina's Journey: Mahara
http://jacinajourney.blogspot.com/2010/05/mahara.html
Monday, May 10, 2010. When we first covered Mahara. In the tutorials during Residential School, my head was completely spinning. I am definitely not very good with technology and it seemed so complicated for something that also seemed so time consuming. To be honest, I didn't even look at Mahara. Again until the courseware. In Week 5 as I felt it was too overwhelming. Maybe I was secretly hoping it would just go away. When asked us to create the Mahara. And practicing on my own account at the same time.

Jacina's Journey: YouTube & TeacherTube
http://jacinajourney.blogspot.com/2010/05/blog-post_3560.html

The first video from YouTube is titled "Why We Need to Teach Technology in School". The video also made me think about the technology that I have today (such as wireless keyboard/mouse, laptop, iPhone, Wii. Etc) and question if I will think that this cutting edge technology will be as 'archaic' as some of the vision in the clip in 20 years? The concept of having...
