Last May, I stashed her in my yarn room for a month. Some people might object to being stuck in a storage room rather than a guest room but, being a weaver, Mom is quite content with the arrangement. For another, it's filled with yarn:. One wall of my yarn room/guest room/Mother containment unit/playground. This year, though - This was The Year of the Scarf!

Loving Nature While Living in the City. Aug 12th, 2016. I stood with another naturalist (actually a bona fide scientist who I admire and feel honored to hang out with sometimes. Sting them to paralyze them, and stuff them down the hole with her eggs. This genus of moth is Ammophila. Scarf A Day: What is Scarf A Day?
http://scarfaday.blogspot.com/2009/01/what-is-scarf-day.html
Today's a day. So's tomorrow. Saturday, January 31, 2009. What is Scarf A Day? Scarf A Day is. A exercise in creativity, an exercise in discipline, simple, complex, easy, difficult, lots of fun, lots of work, a work in progress, a means to an end, seed money, a fund raiser, one month, four and a half years, an expression of frustration, an expression of hope. Scarf A Day is. Scarf A Day is. I heard a story. I was blown away by that too. I've thought about doing something like that but didn't know what.

http://scarfaday.blogspot.com/2010/02/i-aintnt-dead-1.html
Today's a day. So's tomorrow. Tuesday, February 9, 2010. I just had a really crappy day on Friday and didn't weave at all (details to follow), then had a really great day today (more details, more following) and wove so much and so hard that I wound up with a back spasm that hurt so bad that I got so faint and dizzy and passing-out-hot that the friends I was with insisted on taking me to the hospital. :P. Maybe even This Scarf:. I fully intend to put links to each of these posts in a post sometime soon b...

http://scarfaday.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Today's a day. So's tomorrow. Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Time for a Big Honkin' Announcement! As I may have alluded to once or twice but never really expanded on, Mom and I are offering two five-day weaving courses at her studio on Vashon Island, WA in January of 2010. Now that the madness of the latest craft market is over, I've finally had enough time to put together a respectably complete prospectus of what we'll be doing. Here is Thee Scoop, for your viewing pleasure:. Planning a project: choosing t...
