Our first major fund raising event was held on February 6th, 2005 at the Bonsor Recreational Complex in Burnaby, BC. Over 120 people attended our event to raise awareness and money for our cause. We also ensured that everyone received a traditional Indian dinner of chicken curry, rice, subji (vegetables), and sweets. Thanks to our performers and the people who attended we were able to raise $600 towards our cause!

We strive to promote basic education and training of the underprivileged children in India irrespective of race, gender, color, creed, cast or religion. Our not for profit foundation was first established in 2003 as CONCEPT, which stood for Consortium for Child Educational Program and Training. A group of graduate students from the University of British Columbia along with a few scientists from the nearby high energy physics laboratory founded the group.
