The Heflin Family: Addy updates
http://theheflinfamily.blogspot.com/2013/12/addy-updates.html
Friday, December 20, 2013. After we saw cardio we headed over to her surgeon's office. We haven't had to see them in about three years! We turned in Addy's monitor today and saw her nutritionist. She's having us add some more water to her feedings so that may help things along too :). This just has to be included because he's cute! Bless her I bet she is uncomfortable! Hoping she is better once you get her all cleaned out! Merry Christmas my friends! December 21, 2013 at 5:01 PM. Aimee's Bowl of Cherries.

The Heflin Family: March 2013
http://theheflinfamily.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 28, 2013. We were finally able to get Addy into the Immunologist today. She was supposed to go last Friday but since she'd been sick for a week with the tummy stuff we had to postpone. As you can see, she is feeling pretty darn good right now! She ordered a lot of blood tests. She is also going to have a sweat test to rule out Cystic Fibrosis next week. I'm not sure why we are doing this because she was tested for this as an infant before we adopted her, but we will do what we nee...Howev...

Monday, November 25, 2013. If you are a friend of mine on Facebook, then this is old news, but, those of you that aren't. After 17 months of loving and enjoying this precious baby boy. Our son was declared to be ours on Friday :). The nurse turned around and I then exclaimed "that's my baby! She said "Oh yeah, are you Cammie? This is your baby! Foster care is such a road of ups and downs. Until Friday I always knew that he was not my son but in my heart he sure was. Even though all along I was pr...This ...

The Heflin Family: July 2013
http://theheflinfamily.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Denver and Step Up. This month has been CRAZY! On the 18th I flew to Denver for the NDSC Convention with Addy and Little Man. They were awesome on the plane, it was great! The worst part was getting from baggage claim with a double stroller with two kids in it of course, a carry on bag, a rolling suitcase, a huge duffle bag and an extra car seat to our shuttle to the hotel. It was awful! We did make it but it was not easy! We had such a great time! I wasn't quick enough to get my ...

Friday, October 4, 2013. 31 for 21 Day 4. I missed a post yesterday due to pukey kids :( Poor Addy has the stomach flu for the second time this school year! So I stole this from the Down Syndrome Guild of Kansas City, one of my favorite resources :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am a speech/language pathologist who works for a private agency that contracts with local school districts. I love my job and it definitely played a role in our decision to adopt Addy! The Heflin Family: January 2013
http://theheflinfamily.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 31, 2013. Please pray for my twenty-one year old as well :) I haven't done a blog post about Jarika's birthday but here's a pic of her with her first legal drink lol. What a stinker :) We took her to her favorite Japanese place, Nakato's. It is sooo good! She's sick with a bad sinus infection and the doc put her on three meds today :( She sounds miserable, I hope she perks up soon. It's hard to be in college and be sick! Fortunately one of her classes is online :) Love you big girl!

Can't Keep Me DOWN: Germ Fest...I Mean - Animal Day
http://shesnotdown.blogspot.com/2011/07/germ-festi-mean-animal-day.html
Can't Keep Me DOWN. A journey through life with Down Syndrome. Saturday, July 16, 2011. Germ Fest.I Mean - Animal Day. Our neighbor's brother has a farm and we went to see his lambs today before they grow up and aren't lambs any more. I know Averi looks pretty frightened in this picture, but she's really somewhere between intense excitement, extreme hesitation, and stimulus overload. Anyways, being out and about really wore Miss Averi out because she fell asleep mid-color on the way home. To finish off t...

Can't Keep Me DOWN: The Results Are In
http://shesnotdown.blogspot.com/2011/07/results-are-in.html
Can't Keep Me DOWN. A journey through life with Down Syndrome. Tuesday, July 5, 2011. The Results Are In. I've been avoiding this post because I don't quite know how to word it.here goes. I finally got 'the phone call' today. It only took them an entire week to get back with us, but at least now we have the final results and we can be done with it (in reality I'm bummed we didn't hear the preliminary results last week but I'm trying to stay positive). I love you Tiff! Just enjoy this moment. :). Scrub a ...
