A Blue Floral Hollyburn. This is my first time sewing up Sewaholic’s Hollyburn Skirt. I’m in love. Oh, how I love this skirt! Top: Violet blouse, previously blogged here. Shoes: Me Too (Nordstroms). Hair: Oh so freshly dyed pink. Don’t worry – It’ll fade after the first wash, cause even this is too pink for me. I generally purchase fabric for a specific project so I don’t overbuy. I had always figured, it would be silly to make multiple garments in the same fabric like a skirt dress or a dress ...I serge...

http://zilredloh.com/2015/03/25/im-baaaaack
I’ve been meaning to come back to blogging for quite some time now. In all honesty, I never meant to take a blogging break. Life just got in the way and I got out of the rhythm of posting – the longer I was away the harder it has been to come back and resume writing. Since I’ve been away just a few things have happened:. My step-dad got cancer – and then recovered and is now cancer free (YAY! Biggie I know – but it’s all good now. I have a pretty, new front yard that my mom and I landscaped last fall.

Life As I Knit It. Just another WordPress.com site. RTW Copy-Cat: Old Navy Nursing Cami Part 1. May 7, 2012. My first attempt at pattern drafting and RTW copy-cat. I’m trying to replicate this nursing cami from Old Navy. It crosses over in the front and has gathers right belowthe bust. It works well for nursing, so I’ love to have a few more like it. Here’s how I drafted my pattern:. First I examined how it was made, sketched the front and back, and took measurements. Now, I’m going to cut and sew! What ...

Life As I Knit It. Just another WordPress.com site. May 6, 2012. Well, like so many seamstresses out there in blogland, I’m beyond excited about the new release from Sewaholic Patterns. So excited that I pre-ordered the pattern TODAY and spent the morning (in between feeding the baby and diaper changes of course) looking for fabric. On a rainy morning when the house is already clean (miracle right? My mom left me in good shape over here, and I’ve been working hard to keep it up). From → inspiration.
