Low Key High Flyer. View my complete profile. UK Energy Research Centre. Friday, 19 February 2010. In fact, I'm just about half way through, which seems like the right time to start blogging about it, as I start to assimilate to my ever-changing condition! Been thinking recently that pregnancy reminds me a lot of being engaged. You begin with a burst of euphoria between the two of you (if lucky like me, that is). It's a lot of fun telling your close friends and family. Have now got used to the fact that ...

Low Key High Flyer: April 2009

Low Key High Flyer. View my complete profile. UK Energy Research Centre. Saturday, 25 April 2009. So having 'finished' my novel while on sabbatical last year, I am now wrestling with the conundrum of how to know when it is really finished, to the extent that I will be happy to send it out and be judged by it. One criterion was length - I had in my mind a minimum word count for credibility, below which it was feeling more like a novella, but I have now passed that magic figure. Links to this post.

"Where do your book covers come from?" - Autopope!
http://autopope.livejournal.com/186081.html
Where do your book covers come from? Oct 3rd, 2006. Where do your book covers come from? S fault; she posted on her LJ about how Harlequin deal with author input on book covers. Here are my experiences:. 1 Ace $editor says, "do you have any preferences? Preferences can be vague - "make this book visually different from the last, so readers don't mistake it for a sequel" [or vice versa] or explicit, but basically all that happens is $editor mentions the author's preferences to the art director, who rules ...

Being the online journal of Jed Hartman. Laquo; Review: The Golden Compass (movie). Annual SH stats entry ». Eudora, Penelope, Odysseus. 15 December 2007, 11:36 PM. I've been using the Eudora email application for over ten years now. Sadly, development on Eudora was stopped sometime last year, after years of promising a major new release on the Mac. Several Eudora team members set to work on a new project, Penelope. That basically consists of adding a Eudora-like front end to the Thunderbird. An initial ...

The brutal experiment - The Ex-Communicator

The brutal experiment - The Ex-Communicator. December 8th, 2012. 11:37 am - The brutal experiment. Here's an article in the New York Times. Expressing pity for the UK as the subject of a 'brutal' experiment to prove that austerity does not work. Anyone with any claim to economic savvy who said it might ever work should hang their head in shame. In this case I think the powerful desire to be brutal was much more significant than the flimsy theoretical idea that brutality would work. I want to sit people d...
