Wednesday, July 30, 2014. One of the hard things about growing up, I've found, is that at every single stage you are saying farewell to someone or something. Always. There are new things all the time, new things to learn and fit into, but with every corner you turn, another friend or place or way of life is bid adieu. In these first few weeks of marriage, I've also said goodbye to a lot of ways of life, a lot of what has been the norm for me in the past few years. I'm saying goodbye to Roommate Anna.

Saturday, December 27, 2014. Merry Christmassing with Gesch people and some Walcott people. Joey got to be an elf in our churchs' Christmas parade float. I'm not sure he remembers that I have this picture :). Christmas Eve celebration with Grandpa and Nelda at mom and dad's house. We sang piles of carols, ate a bunch of food, and had a wonderful time! Thursday, June 25, 2015. En route to the United Kingdom Monday, our flight landed in Munich and we had a 7 hour layover. How better to spend that time than with the German cousins? Here's a picture of Florian and Helmuth with our (tired but happy) family. Friday, May 15, 2015. Hi Sheboygan county family. I just booked a flight for an extended weekend visit. My boss is taking off for a bit and encouraged us to take (unpaid) vacation while he's away.
