Cleaning. | Anna in the 10s

Anna in the 10s. I didn't really ever think this was going to happen. June 14, 2010. From a copy of the Oberlin Alumni Magazine (Fall 2008) that I found earlier today:. 8221; ‘I challenge the Oberlin community to make sure that 100 percent of the students at Oberlin High School graduate. I challenge you to say that there is not a child in Oberlin who does not belong to you. If an Oberlin child is not reading, is truant, disruptive, or underachieving, that’s. This is some of what I think about. You are co...

Anna in the 10s. I didn't really ever think this was going to happen. August 14, 2010. Republican Rep. Peter T. King of New York said Friday that Obama was wrong. 8211; Peter Nicholas and Julia Love, Chicago Tribune. I have already read what I’m about to write in response in other ways, but I can’t not react to this any more. With all due respect, Mr. King, it seems to me that your remarks are more insensitive, uncaring and needlessly offending than the construction of a mosque would be, if we are al...

Anna in the 10s. I didn't really ever think this was going to happen. August 10, 2010. It is about 7:47 am. I, Anna Rebecca E., have been awake since 7 am when my alarm went off, to say goodbye to my brother before he headed off to work. (Even though I did ditzy, half-awake things like put dirty dishes in a clearly full of clean dishes dishwasher, many of you would not be surprised to know that I consider this a huge accomplishment.). Pros and cons. | Anna in the 10s

Anna in the 10s. I didn't really ever think this was going to happen. June 22, 2010. About a year ago, I think, my next-door-neighbor Carroll, the coolest ex-nun I know (also probably the only ex-nun I know), gave me some good advice. When you make a pro and cons list about a decision, also make a pro and cons list about the opposite of that decision. ie. pros and cons of buying a new bathing suit, pros and cons of NOT buying a new bathing suit. Cleaning, again. | Anna in the 10s

Anna in the 10s. I didn't really ever think this was going to happen. August 2, 2010. Dang, I wish I had remembered to cite the guy who wrote the “It’s not cool to be smart” article back that I read in February. My apologies, that guy. Yeah, cleaning – my room, my computer, my brain. Before a year in a brand new city, state, part of country. Exactly what I wanted to do when I graduated. How did I get so lucky? Okay – got some writing to do. From → Uncategorized. I am writing from the dining room table of my new apartment. I have been in the apartment for 2 weeks now. One day less than that if you take into account the first night, when I was locked out of the house. A huge thanks goes to a gracious neighbor that allowed me to crash at her (cultural don’t) place that night. I wake up, press the snooze button on my travel al...

By hannanb on January 28, 2010. 1) While I love that eggs are placed directly in plastic shopping bags, I do miss milk cartons pouches just aren’t the same. 2) On Sankranthi, the national kite festival, I stood on my neighbors’ roof for about an hour trying and mostly failing to fly a kite. Even when she gets the kite in the air and passes me the string, I manage to get it stuck in a tree. By hannanb on January 13, 2010.

Skip to search - Accesskey = s. By hannanb on June 18, 2010. I have been thinking about these questions (or some version of them) ever since beginning work in Nagpur last November:. How does a sex negative environment impact HIV prevention, care, support and treatment programs? How can HIV programming be effective in such an environment? Surprised (that this was said at all; that it was said around. They knew I was in India to work for an HIV NGO and have done work in the field previously; and that the s...

My days were spent trying to form some semblance of a trail through a rock field by crushing and slowly moving these rocks. The work site, Mt Yale. At first, the comparison between trail work in the Rocky Mountains and my life in Nagpur seems almost silly other than the absolute necessity of a filtered water source, what could possibly be. About the two experiences? Of all the people.

On the board announcing platform numbers, I saw that my train was delayed to 1:20 am. I go to the Inquiries desk to ask why. After pushing my way to the front, the man behind the glass tells me that the train will be leaving late because it will arrive here late. Fair enough I suppose. Thoughts from Nagpur, India. As of late, however, I have been spending more time out of Nagpur. About 1.5 months ago, I traveled to Hyderabad for about a week to work with the Hyderabad branch of my NGO. A Witness In Palestine: Anna Baltzer, Jewish-American Activist
What Can You Do? Ike many Americans and many Jews, I grew up with a positive view of Israel as a peace-seeking democracy. Israel symbolized to me the one protection that Jews had against the type of persecution that had plagued families like mine throughout history. I saw the Jewish state as a tiny and victimized country that simply wanted to live in peace but couldn t because of its aggressive, Jew-hating Arab neighbors. Host a Screening of.
