About a year ago, I think, my next-door-neighbor Carroll, the coolest ex-nun I know (also probably the only ex-nun I know), gave me some good advice. When you make a pro and cons list about a decision, also make a pro and cons list about the opposite of that decision. ie. pros and cons of buying a new bathing suit, pros and cons of NOT buying a new bathing suit.
