Thursday, January 29, 2009. The year I turned 25, Bethany gave me a giant bowl of fresh red raspberries for my birthday. For someone born in snow, it was the ultimate luxury. Nevermind the fact that it was an imaginary. At the time, B introduced the tradition as something African—Sudanese maybe? There were quite a few tall, strapping, Lost Boys reasons to have Sudan on your mind at the Laird House—though I’ve never been able to find mention of giving birthday wish presents anywhere since. Me me and me.

And in the end. Saturday, May 23, 2009. Asher is fascinated with trains so we decided to take him for a ride on the Heber Valley Railroad. It was a beautiful day and we had fun! What we've been up to lately. We've been trying to keep ourselves entertained over the last few months. Asher and I go to Thanksgiving Point a lot, and that's fun. And in the end. Sunday, December 28, 2008. Christmas morning was fun for Asher. He came downstairs to find that Santa had set up a new train for him. We had to talk him into unwrapping the first present, but after that he was all over it. Every time he opened a present he said, "I want that! Then he'd set it down and head for the next present. I've had a fun week and now I don't want to go to work on Monday. Oh well. Merry Christmas, everyone! Here's Asher's first look Christmas morning. Fun in the snow.

And in the end. Saturday, September 5, 2009. The summer in review. I have been a SLACKER all summer when it comes to blogging. So I'll just post some of the highlights, just in case anybody's been missing us. Here's Asher at Grandpa J's. He always loves the 4-wheelers! A newer addition to the family at Grandpa J's. We went on an awesome camping trip with some of our friends. We hiked to Delicate Arch. Asher sure looks cute when he's hiking! Waiting for the fireworks on the 4th of July. Get Your Craft On.

And in the end. Tuesday, February 3, 2009. Starting in January, Asher has been going to day care in Orem, so we get to commute together every day. Here he is one morning, looking so cool, as usual. We went to dinner at my sister's house the other night. Asher is fascinated by their guinea pig, Jimmy. Here are some cute pics of Asher and his cousins, Helaman and Fiona, watching Jimmy.
