One month in Ahmedabad. Sunnuntai 25. lokakuuta 2009. This weekend was reserved for sightseeing in and around Ahmedabad. With help of Arjun we had organized a minibus for whole Saturday to take us around. The full day included:. Meeting in the hotel lobby at 4.30. 1,5 hour driving to Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary. And boat trip for two hours from sunrise. Area including a mosque, tombs, palaces from 15th&16th century). Short break and lunch. Tilaa: Lähetä kommentteja (Atom). Gujarat is a dry state.

One month in Ahmedabad. Torstai 5. marraskuuta 2009. The midpoint of our assignment has already passed by. Scary how fast time flies. In less than a week we need to deliver a final presentation. Clear progress can be seen in our Ashoka project since the beginning. We are much more knowledgeable about incremental housing, involved stakeholders and situation in Ahmedabad slums. Although, there is still lot to learn and do. To find answers to our questions we have e.g.:. Had interviews in the SEWA office.

One month in Ahmedabad. Keskiviikko 28. lokakuuta 2009. Gujarat is a dry state. This is already our second week so it was time to get the permits. More than for alcohol, we wanted to have a permit to get a stamp on our passports and experience the process to actually get the permit and buy alcohol. A unique experience that you cannot have in many places. Unfortunately the stamp doesn't say anything about alcohol, just "Tourist's Permit" :). A short story about getting our permits:. MIN VEI TIL SCENEN. Jeg er et konkurransemenneske, så å ikke fortsette nå er uaktuelt uansett hvor dårlig det gikk i OGP. Følte meg litt softere enn Sandefjord, og fikk ikke helt samme effekt på oppkarbinga denne gangen. Men hovedsaken er i grunnen den at jeg ble for liten, for tynn i forhold til resten av jentene.
