I develop ideas based on the experiences of a community. I then collect materials that contain memories of those histories. Collecting is part of the physicality of the work, from diving to retrieve hundreds of golf balls from the ocean floor to hand picking the seeds of invasive plants, these symbolic solutions illuminate humankinds increasingly complex relationship to the environment and technology.
