Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Charity Quilting: Something Fishy. This is one of the very first kits I cut from purchased fabric for Annapolis Quilts for Kids. I cut two kits because I almost always buy entirely too much fabric. This kit was made with leftover blocks from the other quilt. I bundled it all up and handed it over to a friend to sew the blocks together. I think she did a great job! About all the little tricks I've learned over the years. Such a fun quilt! Wednesday, August 12, 2015. I chose the...

Becca's Crazy Projects: How to make a Scoodie
http://beccascrazyprojects.blogspot.com/p/how-to-make-scoodie.html
How to make a Scoodie. You are allowed to make as many scoodies you wish using this tutorial. You can modify the design to suit your needs, give them away or sell them either locally or online. You cannot. Copy my tutorial - the text and photos are my property. You may not. I use the most appropriate (in my opinion) seam allowance for the area I'm sewing. I have tried to be as specific as possible throughout the tutorial. For each scoodie, you'll need one width of fabric piece of the primary fabric and o...

Becca's Crazy Projects: T-Shirt Dress
http://beccascrazyprojects.blogspot.com/p/t-shirt-dress.html
I promised to share how I make a simple t-shirt dress. The end of summer is upon us, so you might get more out of my Scoodie tutorial. Than out of this one. Although, I suppose you could pair it with leggings and boots for the winter. You'll need a t-shirt that fits you (we'll call this one the template). Two t-shirts that are too big. If one is significantly larger, it works even better. Rotary mat, cutter and ruler, or a ruler to mark and cut with scissors. Sharpie or other felt marking pen. You can re...

Becca's Crazy Projects: How to make cloth napkins...
http://beccascrazyprojects.blogspot.com/p/how-to-make-cloth-napkins.html
How to make cloth napkins. I looked around the net and found plenty of tutorials for cloth napkins. I still couldn't resist adding another. This also shows my work-flow, which is just how I do things. Press and lay out your fabric with the selvages lined up. The first two cuts are made width-of-fabric (WOF). Trim the first edge. These are cut at 13" x 13", which yields a 12.5" x 12.5" napkin. Cut the width-of-fabric to the size desired. It will need some help to become flat enough for stitching. Grab a n...
