Could this be not only in a spiritual sense, but a literal sense? Everyone in the world wants to live like we do. If that happens the end will certainly be nigh. Sometimes life is just awkward. Virginia Day 4: DC Day. We went into the city early in the morning and went straight to the capitol for a little (literally) tour, followed by a day of sightseeing and hilarity. I believe that the pictures say it all. The ascent into the big city. The charming tour guide. The bored capitol worker. The Brigham Young chilling in the corner. The Library of Congress. The shoes that were made for walking. Sometimes life is just awkward. Day 3 Part 2: Lucy's Birthday Party. Lucy requested a Fantastic Mr. Fox Movie Birthday party. This was a pretty great choice. After we were done at the battlefield, we rushed home to make ready for the party. The sheets went up, the red carpet was rolled out, the concessions stand was made, and the tickets for the movie were sold. Anders manned the concession stand. Lucy singing a Taylor Swift song. The watching of the feature presentation. It was one kick cuss birthday!

Sometimes life is just awkward. Maren's Birthday was yesterday, the big 30! My apologies for not posting something the day of, but I was waiting for some inspiration. This year, I have written a poem for Maren for her birthday. Cheesy? Definitely. I wouldn't mind getting some feedback but mostly its what I was thinking today. I love you Maren, Happy Birthday! Miles apart with glimpses along the way. Yet flesh of my flesh, we will never be divided. Summers spent in grassy yards with dares around the block.

Sometimes life is just awkward. I can't stop thinking about this movie! I watched it last night with Carrie and Grant and I thought it was amazing! It makes me sick that I am so ignorant of the world around me and what is going on in other countries. Leo did an amazing job with his South African accent and playing the role of a diamond smuggler.
