School’s Out and Chicken Math – Anna's Bonne Bouche
https://annasbonnebouche.wordpress.com/2016/08/02/schools-out-and-chicken-math
Anna's Bonne Bouche. Determined to bloom where I am planted, no matter how rocky the soil. Eat, Drink and Be Thankful. School’s Out and Chicken Math. I am finally done with my Coding course! After six months of intense study and testing, it is finished. The last several months I have been focused on just getting through it, and trying to avoid distraction. TRYING being the operative word there. Doodle even enjoyed some shoulder sitting on occasion. Looking beautiful for pictures has also been a pass- time.

Anna's Bonne Bouche. Determined to bloom where I am planted, no matter how rocky the soil. Eat, Drink and Be Thankful. Beautiful mouthfuls, I live for them. That moment where everything comes together in a delightful union of sight, smell and taste. Oh, yes. Those moments that make your eyes roll back in your head, your toes curl and you are compelled to “Mmmmm”. Those mouthfuls are my obsession. Then life happened…. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Theory of Perfect Loaf- Potato Bread – Anna's Bonne Bouche

Anna's Bonne Bouche. Determined to bloom where I am planted, no matter how rocky the soil. Eat, Drink and Be Thankful. Theory of Perfect Loaf- Potato Bread. Ever try Hawaiian bread? Our local grocery carries a brand that is a family favorite. While I do enjoy the soft, slightly sweet bread, I do not enjoy the price. Being that we are in penny-pinching mode around here, I do try and not inflate our grocery bill with expensive items. This includes bread. 1 (1/4 ounce) package of active dry yeast. This reci...

Anna's Bonne Bouche. Determined to bloom where I am planted, no matter how rocky the soil. Eat, Drink and Be Thankful. The Impractical Gardener- Spring 2016. Last year’s harvest of our lemon tree resulted in two and a half gallons of lemon juice in our freezer. We use it in daily cooking, desserts and in beverages. It is now August, and there is still about a gallon left of the sweet-tart juice. Our pots of lettuce from last fall finally went to seed. Local wild birds ended up using the dried husks a...

Anna's Bonne Bouche. Determined to bloom where I am planted, no matter how rocky the soil. Eat, Drink and Be Thankful. Study Time Snacks- Homemade Beef Jerky. My classes have begun! It is important to keep my concentration high, and having a growling stomach definitely distracts me from that. Hunger is bad for the brain, so having some snacks during study time is my way of keeping my mind on track. 5 pounds lean beef or venison. 3 tablespoons course sea salt. Dry Rub Seasoning Blend-. I used a beef eye o...

Sharing the often fun, sometimes tragic but always fabulous life in the country! May 24, 2015. Remember those adorable chicks. I introduced y’all to last month? I mean….the Chickens! A bit cautious for maybe 3 seconds…. Wondering what lay just beyond the barn…. Mama chicken clucked and fussed about, showing them scratch tequinies…. Where the bugs hide……. A good time was had by all. Then Mama needed a rest. So of course the children zoomed all around….oh yes, they call her the streak! In front of…. Can...

Sharing the often fun, sometimes tragic but always fabulous life in the country! July 29, 2015. I’ll not sadden nor burden you with details, Stripe-Stripe’s loss was enough of a blow in itself. I’ve lost an additional 14 hens and 1 roo not to mention the drought and people problems in general. Plus my horrid computer failure! And it is freaking hot. Like almost a hundred every day the last 2 weeks. But that is neither here nor there. Here are a few things we saw. Last weekend. I thought it was a tick at ...

Sharing the often fun, sometimes tragic but always fabulous life in the country! July 15, 2015. Here is what I saw. And managed to take a picture of. On Saturday. Not Wednesday. When I go to walk I normally take the path on the south side of the road, this time I went north. Maybe my subconscious was hoping it would be cooler on the north side. Still, it is always nice to get outside and see God’s creation firsthand. Seriously, how cute it that? Amazing to me how so many pretty things grow in this heat!

Sharing the often fun, sometimes tragic but always fabulous life in the country! June 12, 2015. I am known as a chicken who likes to fly the coop every so often, so when I had the chance to visit Austin for the weekend I jumped at the opportunity. It wasn’t a traditional funky, weird Austin style get-away but fun just the same. I played creeper in the night by taking pictures of an urban owl……. In his super-urban-cool owl house. Is this not the coolest plant ever? 8230;and continued creeping. I love hear...

Sharing the often fun, sometimes tragic but always fabulous life in the country! July 27, 2015. Joy is simple and can be found in many different things. Children find joy without effort. Or maybe, joy finds them. Addie wanted to see the beach. This picture captures her first trip into the ocean. Hands held high, feet hovering over the water, completely airborne. I hope you find joy in something today. July 27, 2015. In Out and About. Wicked Walk 7/something/2015 →. 3 thoughts on “ Joy. Liked by 1 person.

Sharing the often fun, sometimes tragic but always fabulous life in the country! July 1, 2015. Here is what I saw. The visitors center has some lovely displays and if you go be SURE to walk thru the museum at the exit. It was spectacular. The back of the house from the end of the bowling green greets you at first. We walked the trails and visited the farm and gardens first, while waiting our turn to take the house tour. Following this we visited the horse barn and stables……. I could go on and on about th...

Sharing the often fun, sometimes tragic but always fabulous life in the country! May 20, 2015. Piglet, Winnie-The-Pooh’s best friend, paddles furiously to a tune that goes something like this “And the rain, rain, rain came down, down, down and Piglet started bailing! Here is what I saw. From the porch. 3 of our 6 horses, grazing in the rain. A mad, wet Mockingbird (State Bird of Texas for those who want to know). He was also in the rain. I love birds, I’m so glad God gave us so many different kinds!

Sharing the often fun, sometimes tragic but always fabulous life in the country! Down at the River……. Given the fact we live less than 3 miles from the beautiful Neches River, I’m sorry to say we only visit it 2 or 3 times a year, at best. This particular Sunday morning, we ran lines. It was about 7:15 and as soon as we crossed under the Highway 84 bridge, we noticed a…. May 28, 2016. In Out and About. May 22, 2016. May 19, 2016. Stephen King, On Writing. Januari 29, 2015. Oj, vad tiden...

Anna Feruglio Dal Dan's recently read books. Saturday, May 25, 2002. The Red Room - Nicci French. The whole book revolves on lost people: street kids, runaways, unhappy and maladjusted people living on the borders, unable to fit in. That's ultimately more interesting and far more touching than finding out who the killer is. And the prose is funny and gentle and admirable. Good book. Posted by Anna at 1:19 AM. Friday, May 24, 2002. The Courage Consort - Michel Faber. Nowhere near as good as Under the Skin.
