When she finally succeeded the arduous climb, she sat beside her mother and sucked her thumb whilst trying to wake her. The candle in the room softened the stark reality of her mother’s death. Born in Hungary, two-year-old Julianna arrived in Australia on November 1949. She and her family did not move into a Hungarian social system in their new country, instead they both worked hard and integrated with the Australian community. Meanwhile, Julianna grew up as an Australian and had many friends who accepted her. She and her wonderful husband are very family oriented and have two grown up daughters; 31 and 32 respectively.
