Thirty!: June 2008
http://thirtyshows.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Portland's affordable art extravaganza. My work emerges from a profound desire to depict imaginary worlds. Homespun yet mythic, the figures simultaneously evolve from and sustain indeterminate spaces where earth and atmosphere provide silent witness to the richness of interior life. The Beautiful and Strange. Anna lives and works in her studio in Portland, Oregon, which is also the home of Portland's Shortest Walk In Art Gallery at only 3.5' high: the Core. I'm offering viewers a chance to fill the void ...

Studio 632F - Blog of Tiffany Gholar, Chicago based artist and interior designer: April 2015
http://tiffanygholar.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 27, 2015. Acrylic, ink, and latex on cardboard. I finally made a new painting! I know, right? It took forever. I was. Working in my studio, but on mini paintings and ornaments, mostly. Nothing I felt like photographing. But I am happy with the way this piece turned out. As I continue working smaller, I am excited about the variety of pieces I will be able to create and hang on the wall of my studio. I'm in a show this weekend and plan to bring Mercury Rising. 2744 W. Superior St. 5 pm - 9 pm.

http://tiffanygholar.blogspot.com/2015/07/kevin-swallows-this-must-be-place.html
Friday, July 24, 2015. Kevin Swallow's This Must Be the Place. Fittingly, I made my way to my artist friend Kevin Swallow's show, This Must Be the Place. Via El train. My commute there, as well as the walk I took beneath the new elevated park. Reminded me of his rugged cityscapes. Water tanks, elevated train tracks, skyscrapers and power lines dominate his work. It's urban, vibrant, and fun. The show will be at Firecat Projects. Posted by Tiffany Gholar. Events exhibits and shows. AAS, Interior Design,.

Studio 632F - Blog of Tiffany Gholar, Chicago based artist and interior designer: Judging books by their covers and learning from them
http://tiffanygholar.blogspot.com/2015/07/judging-books-by-their-covers-and.html
Thursday, July 23, 2015. Judging books by their covers and learning from them. About a year ago, I shared a little bit of the artwork. Trying to save money on fancy fonts? I suppose the decision to go with Miso. Was the result of all 3 things. These are just a few of the covers I've added so far. If you want to see the rest of them, click here. And I noticed that the women on the covers look alike. The series of reprinted books by Lizzie Skurnick. Looks great, by the way. I love the vintage feel. On the ...

Studio 632F - Blog of Tiffany Gholar, Chicago based artist and interior designer: #WeNeedDiverseBooks
http://tiffanygholar.blogspot.com/2014/05/weneeddiversebooks.html
Saturday, May 3, 2014. August 4, 1993. I just wish there were more books about African-American teenagers, but they’re all about the same ole thang- a boy or girl is such an Oreo at the beginning that their main goal is to BE WHITE. Then, they meet somebody who tells them about African-American history, then, they find themselves. Why is it always the same thing? And why is it always either set in Harlem in the 70’s or else in a poor southern state in the country? It couldn’t even be the same story!
