虚拟机故障 | Annats King

同事反应10.0.14.23虚拟机不能用,登上ESX平台看到该机器已关机,启动出错,根据经验需要重启该ESX主机,刚好这台ESX主机有个硬盘更换后在rebuild(已经3天了,好慢). 下班后重启了该ESX主机,上面有30台虚拟机,开机后只开启了2台虚拟机,因为硬盘同步新能较差,这样可以加快同步过程. 开启10014.23时发现出现out of memory and no killable processes…. 内存不够,关机后加分内存给该虚拟机,正常开机,登录上去,好卡,top一下,iowait好高. Top – 10:02:56 up 18 min, 3 users, load average: 2.75, 2.14, 1.29. Tasks: 170 total, 2 running, 167 sleeping, 0 stopped, 1 zombie. Cpu(s): 19.5%us, 18.6%sy, 0.0%ni, 52.8%id, 56.7%wa, 2.2%hi, 6.9%si, 0.0%st. Root@HQ-CBS-MQ ]# free -g. Mem: 4 4 0 0 0 0.

Hugepages是从Linux kernal 2.6后被引入的，其目的是使用更大的memory page size以适应越来越大的系统内存,使得oracle SGA这种大内存结构能分配到一个大块 hugepagesize)连续的内存，提高效率. 1 Page Table大小 小page size 可以节省内存，但提高管理成本page table的规模很大. 而Hugepages的常见page size为2M，是4k size的500倍，所以可以大大减小page table的size。 MemTotal: 132086880 kB PageTables: 4059612 kB.
