http://portershappyplace.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 2, 2015. Passion, Pride, and Freedom. For some time now, I've been struggling with my identity. I tend to glorify "the good old days" as something that I wish I could get back to but I couldn't ever explain why. Well tonight I had a bit of a break-through. All these things left me unsure of who I was supposed to be. I knew I that needed to be genuine and I knew that I needed/wanted to love God, but what did that mean now? How do you pick through the lies and options and half-truths? My fir...

Porter's Happy Place: Letting Go and Letting God

Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Letting Go and Letting God. Lord, I Need You. Lord I come, I confess. Bowing here I find my rest. Without You I fall apart. You're the one that guides my heart. Lord, I need You, oh I need You. Every hour I need You. My one defense, my righteousness. Oh God, how I need You. Where sin runs deep, Your grace is more. Where grace is found is where You are. And where You are Lord I am free. Holiness is Christ in me. Yes where You are Lord I am free. Holiness is Christ in me. Shine-Davi...

Thursday, April 17, 2014. Little Notes for Little One -Part 3. Today we woke up without an alarm! This never happens. We couldn't sleep in on our day off but . I did get my hair all beautified and feel refreshed. I can't wait until the day I get to do your hair too (maybe done like daddy's or braided and bowed). I know these little notes may seem silly, but they make me feel even closer to you. 3. Let's keep these brain cells working, Baby. I hope you are doing well in there, kiddo! Or all of the above).

Porter's Happy Place: Hope
http://portershappyplace.blogspot.com/2013/03/hope.html
Friday, March 29, 2013. Tomorrow marks 1 year since Baby's heavenly birthday. And I just can't stop myself from thinking. This extra room held a crib and a dresser filled with baby things -little onesies, tiny socks, baby shoes, blankets, books, and sweaters with ears. The nursery could be filled with sweet little things picked especially for our little one. I had a handsome boy or beautiful girl. They had a meaningful name that we both loved so much. Things weren't so quiet here. View my complete profile.

Keeping One Foot Out. I'm crossing my fingers He won't answer). In the absence of volleying viruses back and forth to pass the time, I noticed a growing lack of team-playing, ability to create, imagine and do ANYthing (fortheLOVE! Tucking in the corners neat-and-tidy with reasons why it should be no other way. I even slept that way, keeping my sheets tucked securely under the mattress which gave me a sense of security. And then I started to grow up, which I remain in the arduous process of doing. In ...
