KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES: April 2012
http://joshkallie.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Maverik is growing up so fast and his personality is really starting to show- especially when he "talks" to us! I have been teaching him American Sign Language (ASL) since he was born and he is starting to show an understanding for it. I have always thought ASL was awesome and what better time to learn than together with your new baby! Anyway, the coolest part is how much we (me, Mav and even Josh) are learning together! Signs he knows the meaning of when we sign them, but does not yet do himself-. And t...

Jabbering Pidgen: December 2009
http://thisbirdspeaks.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 15, 2009. In April I have plans. . 160;As in, Italy. :). That's right. Beautiful Siena awaits me for . A seven week study abroad. The first three weeks I will take an advanced Italian Language class, and travel around to villages, cities, and anywhere else I pretty much feel like going.]. Siena is only an hour away from both Florence and Pisa. And two hours north of Rome. So I'll probably be hitting up Florence a lot at first. . So I hope that to be part of my future. I want to be t...

Tabitha Thompson: Creative Maniac: Let It Go
http://www.tabithathompson.com/2014/07/let-it-go.html
Tabitha Thompson: Creative Maniac. Thursday, July 17, 2014. I opened this blog a year ago. And I never really did anything with it. I'm a writer, so I'm supposed. To have a blog. I'm an artist so I'm supposed. To have a platform. I should. Build up a "following," a customer base, a readership, etc. etc. My response to this was: FREAK OUT! I JUST CAN'T TAKE THE PRESSURE! And then recently I had a thought: What if I didn't. What if I took "for" out of it? What if I just wrote for me? I make moving, 3D invi...

The Yellow Wallpaper: May 2014

Life is very much more exciting now than it used to be."- Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Friday, May 9, 2014. What is it about books that can calm a troubled heart? To him; a chapter each night. At first he was confused, where were the pictures? But then he couldn't wait to find out what happened next. What does the letter say? When is Hagrid going to ride a motorcycle again? What is a sorting hat? And how do Owls deliver letters? And I guess the writing can wait. Right? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Blogs I Li...

Life is very much more exciting now than it used to be."- Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Tuesday, October 30, 2012. It is almost November. And, yes, I'm doing NaNo again. I did it last year and, while it was a challenge, I learned so much and couldn't help but to do it again. The reason I'm doing it is exactly the same reason I did it last year. I'd love for you to join me if you're doing it this year. Here's a link to me. Then NASA discovers something on Mars, something that freaks the world out: An exact re...

The Yellow Wallpaper: Writing Again.
http://emilysyellowwallpaper.blogspot.com/2013/01/writing-again.html
Life is very much more exciting now than it used to be."- Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Wednesday, January 30, 2013. So amidst the revelry that is December and the depression that is January, I somehow found a new writing voice. It is nice to be writing again, to be creating something other than folded laundry and mopped floors. February is looking to be a nicer month. Maybe a little warmer, a lot greener and lots and lots of sweet oranges from the tree. January 30, 2013 at 8:56 AM. Im querying and writing&#...

Life is very much more exciting now than it used to be."- Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Moonrise Kindom and writing/not writing. I've spent a lot of the last few (maybe six) months taking large breaks from writing. I've had to jump in with some serious mothering and house-wifing. Plus there was summer and sunshine and water. How can a person write when there's sunshine and water? But I think it's okay. To take breaks, I mean. Here's what I've made:. Broadway version, of course).

Tabitha Thompson: Creative Maniac: Perfect Little Boxes: Cross stitch
http://www.tabithathompson.com/2014/07/perfect-little-boxes-cross-stitch.html
Tabitha Thompson: Creative Maniac. Friday, July 18, 2014. Perfect Little Boxes: Cross stitch. I think I like to cross-stitch because I am a bit of a control freak and I love art, but I'm not really a drawer or painter (though I would like to be). I find cross-stitching very Zen: the rhythm of the needle, in and out, back and forth, again and again; and everything going into perfect little boxes. Neat. Organized. Everything in its place. I'm stitching. Waiting at the doctor's/dentist's? Coming soon .).

Wherein Lies Your Woe, Wombat?: New Year's Eats
http://whereinliesyourwoewombat.blogspot.com/2012/12/new-years-eats.html
Wherein Lies Your Woe, Wombat? Monday, December 31, 2012. Having a characteristic lack of par-tay invitations to see off 2012, I instead decided to content myself with baking. I rarely get to do it and New Year’s Eve, being such a long night, seems like the right night to tackle a large-scale bake-a-thon in my teeny-tiny kitchen. That, and I am in need of lunches for the remainder of the week. Pumpkin pasties. (That’s PAH-sties, not PAY-sties. Get yer mind out of the gutter.). It would be whimsical!
