ReVamp: Et Voila! Coco

Verb), to do up, refurbish, restore, overhaul, give face-lift to. Saturday, 7 August 2010. This 1960's French-style boudoir stool by Crest Art Ltd of London looked in pretty good condition but on further inspection. The base was broken and had been braced with a piece of plywood, also once I started stripping the fabric it was apparent that this stool had been a heavy smoker! There was nothing else for it but a complete. She would look fabulous back in someone's boudoir! Before ReVamp, pink velour, yuck!

http://scotstitchersarmchairadventures.blogspot.com/2010/09/short-break.html
Monday, 27 September 2010. As it turned out, it was a glorious weekend. We went to Witches Craig. Caravan site, which lies just outside Stirling, under the Ochil Hills. And not far from the Wallace Monument, so beautiful views and a beautifully kept site too, with HUGE pitches! Here are the new caravanners with their beautiful brand new van - had a bit of van envy going on! We hadn't dared to hope that it would be nice enough to sit outside! And Ochil Hills taken from just outside the castle. So pleased ...

Tuesday, 15 September 2009. September and I’m back in the Day Ward at 9am for my first cycle of treatment. As Cisplatin can cause kidney damage, the first part of the treatment involves taking a water tablet, and being given two bags of hydration fluid via a cannula placed in the vein in the back of my hand, each of which takes just over an hour to go through. All is well for the first 45 minutes and then the trek backwards and forwards begins…. It’s probably good for others to see that it’s ...Not much ...

ScotStitcher's Armchair Adventures: July 2009
http://scotstitchersarmchairadventures.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 29 July 2009. I’m not sure how I feel about my hospital appointment today. I’m not sure what I expected, but I left with very mixed feelings. The appointment was at 4.20 and we arrived bang on time, expecting a wait as they’d be bound to have been delays by that time in the day. Surprisingly, my bum had hardly made contact with the seat in the waiting room when my name was called. Then though to get bloods taken. Got a bit worried when she said “Oh damn, damn, damn! A couple of minutes later, ...

Saturday, 19 December 2009. Post Op - Dave's Post. Well, where to start? I feel like a teenager having been handed the keys to his dad's Porsche being let loose on here - so much to live up to! I was given strict instructions to give an update so here goes. So that I could talk to her. She said 'did the hospital give you any updates yesterday' I said 'yes, all the time until they let us through to see you'. 'Were you here yesterday? She said - couldn't remember a thing about it! At the moment and probabl...
