Memoirs and reflections of a restless soul. Friday, December 05, 2008. Bergen - San Sebastian: Part Two (and almost back again). Memoirs and reflections of a restless soul. Thursday, June 12, 2008. The return of the "butterflies". Time flies when having fun! 8221; (the name given those hired for working over summer) at the University College in Bergen again. And hence was trying to handle nearly 60 kilos as seemingly “effortless” as possible to not draw too much attention to my extremely heavy hand luggage….And they let me pass! Ireland was just as I have always imagined: green. Friendly, unpretentious, steep cliffs, rolling green...

Memoirs and reflections of a restless soul. Sunday, September 30, 2007. After leaving Bergen at the end of August I had three and half wonderful weeks of holiday visiting friends and family before coming back to Madrid last week. Weeks which included the very romantic and beautiful Southwest-Coast wedding of a good friend, lazy days at my dad’s peaceful place in the forest, visiting friends for long not seen, and seeing a friend’s new born hours into having seen light. E colours of September.

Memoirs and reflections of a restless soul. Friday, June 29, 2007. Stories from another West Coast. My last flat mate is making her way out the door, happy to finally be on holiday, leaving me alone with my Sunday 'tea-and-paper-ceremonies'. After six weeks of harmonious and happy co-living with my three flat mates I’m not looking forward to five weeks all by myself. Another time, another place I would have been awaiting the chance to get the flat to myself, but not this time…. Bjørn and me on the ferry.

Travelbug: November 2007

Memoirs and reflections of a restless soul. Tuesday, November 20, 2007. Just when I had decided to put my praise of the Madrileño weather into writing did the sky turn into a steel coloured veil and the rain kept falling through the night and the day. However I assume it was in time taken the endless sun filled days we have had since I arrived. This has been my most beautiful November month in any European country (as my November experiences in Oz and South-America would not be of fair comparison)! And t...

Memoirs and reflections of a restless soul. Wednesday, January 30, 2008. From "existential" to "trivial". A new year – and new opportunities they say. I think I was about 13 when I started disliking the turn of yet another year, always feeling that I had so much “undone” from the previous year. I felt time was running too fast, - escaping me somehow (no wonder my generation coined the concept of a. I have struggled to keep that in mind every time I turn one year older, keeping the spirit up over x-mas wi...

Memoirs and reflections of a restless soul. Monday, October 27, 2008. Bergen - San Sebastian: Part One. Anyhow, we finally reached Köln. Curry wurst and beer with coke. or Radler for those less experimental. Welcome to France: A former grand empire and the self-named world expert on high culture and fashion… No need to say, I was shocked! Do they allow a man to follow his wife in to the ladies’ toilet to hold her hands to avoid her weak and stiff legs to give in while squatting? High tide at Saint-Malo.
