Monday, May 11, 2015. The Mother's Day festivities started on Saturday when the girls and I went to the library to attend their Mother's Tea. We went last year and this year was again lovely. We had tea/lemonade and a few treats. We also listened to two books about Mother's and the kids watched a puppet show. We then made two crafts to take home. We met Granddad and Grandma Squires there for an afternoon of feeding calves and feeding ourselves yummy ice cream. Watching the cows during their milking time. Thank you, ladies! Homemade ice cream - so good! Katelyn pet almost every calve there! These calves were together.twins maybe? Thankfully this kid would eat the hay Katelyn was. Feeding it.it made her happy! Between the winter cold ones - they keep me hopeful. That spring will come! We went on a scavenger hunt. We made a list together and Josh wrote his out with pictures. He loved to check them off as we found them. Katelyn liked being in the lead. This is Katelyn happy. :). Katelyn was a really good spotter. She was the first to find. Way to go, Ravens!

Friday, May 15, 2015. Maeve found out that reading books to Colin at bedtime is no easy task. At first they started off with him sitting on her lap. Then he switched to sitting next to her. Once that spot became old, he picked up a new book and invited Maeve to a new reading spot on the floor. She was a trooper, but hasn't offered to read to him again lately. I wonder why?
