THIMBLE FINGERS: November 2014
http://thimble-fingers.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Ramblings of a mad stitcher. Saturday, November 15, 2014. I had a brilliant time at this months Art A'peel meeting, it was one of the most enjoyable days I've had in a long time. We spent a day with Textile Artist Elizabeth Morley at her studio on her property at Coolup, just south of Pinjarra. She and her husband only moved to the new property a year ago and they've worked hard and created a wonderful place to visit. The gardens were beautiful and gave us lots of inspiration for drawing and design.

When preparing backgrounds yesterday I also selected pics of trees - plums grow on trees (and trees play a large part in my life). I chose a fibre tip pen for the first drawing. And then turned it round again for my second attempt at drawing the leaf, concentrating on different types of line:. Tuesday, 26 July 2011. Sketchbook Day 4 - a personal background. THIMBLE FINGERS: September 2013
http://thimble-fingers.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Ramblings of a mad stitcher. Sunday, September 8, 2013. One of my favourite embroidery designers is Tanja Berlin. A graduate of the RSN, who has been a professional embroiderer for the past 10 years. She's based in Canada, but came to Australia to teach at the Beating Around The Bush convention in 2009. As soon as I read that Tanja was coming to Oz, I just had to book my place at the convention, and all three of the classes I undertook were with Tanja. Tuesday, September 3, 2013. Where have I been? No, I...

Ramblings of a mad stitcher. Thursday, January 15, 2015. Here's to a happy 2015. 2014 wasn't the best year for me and my blog was sadly neglected . but I've turned a corner, closed a door and I'm looking forward to what's ahead. To say goodbye to 2014 hubby and I took ourselves off to the other side of Australia and celebrated 5 days in Sydney. Despite being in Australia for 47 years I've never spent any time in Sydney and now I know what I've missed out on. What an amazing city! Even during a holiday my...

However, I have now finished the piece and I thought those who have been to this year's summer school may like to see it. Here it is:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Ive been stitchin...
