A Very British Day Out. A visit to Bristol to photograph the annual Balloon Festival.I photographed the balloons lifting off just after dawn and the people enjoying their breakfasts afterwards. It proved to be a very British day, including seeing wedding couples arriving to have their photographs taken at the Clifton suspension bridge where we whiled away time waiting for the evening lift off. A mixed collection of photos I've enjoyed taking. Five days a week. The Not brothers Pottery.

My passion for photography began in 2006 when I spotted a sign advertising the Winchester Photographic Society annual exhibition. I was so inspired by the work that I knew I would just love to be able to take photographs even half as good as the ones on display. But it was May and I had to wait until the new season began in September and I am very impatient. I am drawn to strong graphic shapes and colours and most of my work tends to be shots of detail rather than bigger landscapes.
