In Trinidad with my Mum on holiday, I stayed at Asa Wright Nature Center and loved the place! Indias malaria epidemic is vastly underestimated. Malaria deaths go un-reported, and while India doesnt acknowledge its malaria crisis, malaria will never be controlled. This is a short film made in Orissa, one of Indias poorest states, which bears the heaviest burden in the intimate relationship between poverty and malaria.

After visiting friends for the evening and before I packed and took a midnight train to Patiala I walked home along the Ganges - it was magical! I scoured the (Koraput) town for toys for the orphans and wasnt so impressed with what I found. Luckily they were!
