Sewatdeeka Thailand: Bangkok
http://semesterinthailand.blogspot.com/2010/07/bangkok.html
Friday, July 23, 2010. At a hostel on Rambuttri Road. I am trying to read while I wait for Jake to return from getting his 30-baht haircut, but I am feeling too expressive to intake someone else's words. Jake and my first meal was at Chote Chitr, where we overate the crispy noodles, green curry, and fried fish, then topped ourselves off with our favorite street dessert of heavily buttered bread and bananas (see last post in Thailand for reference to very same meal). Sewatdeeka Thailand: January 2008
http://semesterinthailand.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Thai girls are so freaking cute! It's bloody hot here, and it's only going to get worse during the "summer" in March and April. There was a nice wind yesterday which made me think I could wear jeans out. Wrong. I was okay until we all decided to walk off our dinners instead of taking a cab home. After 45 minutes in the Bangkok night heat, I had to positively peel my pants off when I got home. Charity with the legendary dessert:. Some of the other funny uses of food:. Even mov...

Sewatdeeka Thailand: May 2008

Sunday, May 18, 2008. Seewatdeeka Thailand, My Loves (Pictures coming soon). Oi, leaving has been one big emotional wreck. I now write to you from Haifa, Israel, but I'll start from the beginning. Exams went. smoothly. Remember how in my last entry all the libraries were closed during finals? A wooden Khao San frog in psychedelic colors (mine). A Same Same But Different shirt. A yellow Rama IX shirt. A stolen Rattanakosin poster. A Vietnamese boat hat. And best of all. a picture of the king! Brad, in his...

Sewatdeeka Thailand: April 2008
http://semesterinthailand.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 16, 2008. I've spent the most amazingly idle two days, and I feel wonderful for it. After almost three weeks away from Bangkok, I was aching for the city and its smells of Thai food. Now, after a lazy day of computer-ing myself to death, I'm wide awake because Daddy is coming! Speaking of trekking, I'll move backwards through time. I just got back from Chiang Mai to celebrate Songkran, or the new year. (By the way, happy 2551! 1 We visited a butterfly museum and orchid farm. I really...

Sewatdeeka Thailand: April 2010
http://semesterinthailand.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 27, 2010. The pictures never materialized, I do realize that. But good news! There will be more to come, because I just got my ticket back to Thailand, this time with a stop in South Korea and India, too. We'll be visiting Charity, who was the inspiration for the trip, as she currently works there as a teacher (also my occupation - how much has changed in two years! Meris, who I'm pretty sure still gets the free flights of her choosing; Jake (! Posted by Abby Terrell.

Sewatdeeka Thailand: Odds and Ends - Seoul
http://semesterinthailand.blogspot.com/2010/07/monsoon-season-in-seoul.html
Saturday, July 17, 2010. Odds and Ends - Seoul. Two things that have gotten me to look like a rambling lunatic in Korea: teaching and Spanish. The former happened when, lo and behold, every. Westerner I have met has been a teacher. I had fully intended to leave teaching behind on this trip, to shake it off and refresh myself before September. Believe me. I did But then Jake's friend, John, started asking about TFA, and here I go, one soju. The other time - also soju. And ended the night by looping around...

Sewatdeeka Thailand: March 2008
http://semesterinthailand.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 25, 2008. Full Moon, Ayutthaya Stories. When we stayed there we got to eat Warren's mom's cooking, by far the best Thai food I've had so far, and in the morning we woke up early to feed, or pay alms, to the monks in the town. The least touristy thing I've done yet and it was amazing. Lilly giving breakfast to the monks at around 7 am:. Now, about last weekend. Here's another 100 baht, because you're scaring us! Don't let this story scare you, although I'm sure if you're my parents it will&...

Sewatdeeka Thailand: Last of Thailand
http://semesterinthailand.blogspot.com/2010/08/last-of-thailand.html
Sunday, August 8, 2010. Okay, that title is decieving because I am now in India and have been here for 6 days, but I want to take this chance to write down some of the notes I took in my last week and a half in Thailand. Jake and I traveled to Railay Beach first, then up to his old village in the Northeast. These are the notes, in order of when I wrote them down, which is out of order from when events actually happened.):. PT: Farmer speak English, chowna speak Thai. Our entertainment on Railay was slow&...

Sewatdeeka Thailand: Train Mishap
http://semesterinthailand.blogspot.com/2010/08/train-mishap.html
Sunday, August 15, 2010. I am finally liking India. I am now in Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala, the farthest southern state of the country. I had no intention of coming here, but the British girls were coming, and seeing as I had nothing else to do, I followed. Well, as I was researching Kerala a bit, I stumbled across this ashram:. Http:/ www.sivananda.org/ndam/. So I ditched my plans with them, still headed to Kerala but for a different purpose now. Train, as key information, like the train number, ...
