WALKABLE STREETS is a university campaign project. It aims to confront the lack of safety and walk-ability for women travelling alone in suburban neighbourhood areas especially after dark. The campaign comprises of a series of poster advertisements, video marketing advertisements and a web presence that challenge the public to rethink and examine their own behaviours. The brief was to create a fashion focused photographic and image dominant six page spread for a potential magazine. The fashion photographs created had an outer space and futuristic theme and the model and lighting created supported this. The main idea behind it was to show the audience that the women of the future are going to be powerful, intelligent and also stylish. Inspirations were the recent movies Pacific Rim(2013) and Star Trek: Into the Darkness(2013). Makeup and hairstyling: Lauren.

The brief was to create an Illustrated Children's Story book based on a poem by Jack Prelutsky. The design process involved creating layouts and treating type suitably for the target audience, as well as creating bright and delightful images to support the text. The completed and printed book size was 20cmx20cm. This work was used as a display at the University of Western Sydney Open Day at the Parramatta Campus UWS in 2013.

U bevindt zich hier:. Een monotype is een grafische techniek waarbij slechts één afdruk gemaakt kan worden. Deze techniek wordt ook wel monoprint genoemd. Op een plaat wordt met inkt een afbeelding geschilderd. Terwijl de inkt nog nat is, wordt het werk afgedrukt op papier. Het is een proces waarbij ik me vooral kan concentreren op het creatief zijn. Daarbij zijn beweging, impuls en toeval kenmerken die bij het drukproces horen. Elk exemplaar dat ik maak is uniek en kan niet gereproduceerd worden.
