Even though it was a (very) frigid day in Ottawa, they weren't phased at all by any idea I threw at them - not even when I asked them to play in the snow; throw snow around; and, eventually, fall into the snow and lie there while I get the shot! Sunday, January 16, 2011. My boyfriend and I got engaged just before Christmas and I'm still on a high. It wasn't a surprise to me since I went with Darryl to pick out my ring; but I didn't know when it would actually happen, so I was definitely caught off guard when he got down on one knee and proposed. It was amazing! I'm so happy and still can't quite believe it! Nonetheless, I'm so utterly excited! And now, here's the rock - an aquamarine gemstone we had custom made. I love it! Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Adulthood, here I come! I'm 26 but don't really feel like an adult yet. I clearly am one, or am becoming one at any rate. I'm hoping to buy a house with my fianc é. This year and, potentially (money dependent! Get married next summer. Two huge steps in life that kind of define you as an adult. And although, I may not necessarily be excited to be growing up and becoming a full-fledged adult *gulp* I. Pretty excited about a lot that comes with it: House hunting! 2 - 3 bedrooms.
